Maplestory

So~! A thread for Maplestory, since there seems to be a few people here that play it~!

So, I maded it now.

I was going to make a thread about this, actually, due to the big bang patch...

It's actually a huge improvement. At level 43 I'm leveling like I'm in the late 20s.

Like I said in the other thread, my level 73 Ranger has sadly died because Nexon deactivated my old account or something.

So, starting ALL OVER now! I'll let you know what my new character's name is as soon as I create them. Will be playing on Bera.

^^ I know, right? The Big Bang was awesome!

...Except for nerf-ing the Fighters. Though I'm probably biased in that regard. :P

Ah, yes, I should probably mention that I'm on Scania.

Though I guess I'm open to starting a new character. After all, the leveling is supposed to be super fast now.

I haven't tested how much better my character is yet. Still exploring the modified maps and all.

Heaven's Hammer got raised from 900% damage to 1400% damage, though. I wonder if they also removed the damage cap on that.

^ I hardly see much of a nerf. They also get Brandish much sooner, though. And another flashy attack skill in 4th job. My skills were mainly left plain, because Nexon hates white knights.

Poor Paladins. They always seem to get the short end of the stick.

My Crossbowman is pretty nice now, though. He's only level 43 ish, but he can attack at close range now! Yay! Iron arrow also got an extra 100%, improved fundamentals increase my double arrow's attack by 60% per arrow, and final attack is a useful skill now!

Damn, wish I could see what they did to Rangers. Anyone else have a Ranger that they could clarify on that about?

Actually we did get some good stuff from BB. LIKE A HEALING SKILL HELL YEAH. But otherwise i'm not too interested in our new bonuses.

I had a Fighter, but then because of the new PIN system, I lost him. Fifty levels down the drain. ;/

Now, I'm trying a Page. I might make another Fighter later on.

Hm, I don't know if I should put anything on one of the new skills...

Well, here's all the skill changes and such.

Rangers get evasion boost. At level 10, 20% chance to dodge an attack. If you do manage to dodge, your next attack is an automatic crit.

It's pretty nice.

Shadowers got superpowered. My level 140ish(?) friend can do 1.4mil damage in 7 seconds. Also, after BB, there's no longer a PQ limitation to levels beyond the starting limitation(except for the Carnival Party Quests and the poison fog PQ or whatever that was called), so I can break through the lower party quests quite easily.

I'm a Dual Blade.

Ridiculously high damage output, hehehe

If anyone wants to add me to their buddy lists, I'm on the Bera Server, and my character name is Astatun.

Anyone have any suggestions for what my new character should be? I've only ever played a Ranger, a Bandit, and a Dawn Warrior so I don't really know which other classes would be fun.

I certainly had a lot of fun with my gunslinger. Not necessarily too good of a class from 2nd - 3rd job, but fun nonetheless.

Crossbowmen are pretty great, too.

Bandits are probably better now. You have a 12 hit skill at 3rd job.

Not sure if you're patient enough to get that far, though.

If you guys are playing on Bera, I think I'll make a gunslinger there. Or brawler, I've never made a brawler before...

Oh also, you can get permanent cash clothes now.

Alright, there are a lot of people on Bera, it seems.

I just made a new character there. I rather enjoy the naming scheme of -Color- -Creature-, so if you like, you can add Azure Narwhal to your friends list.
