. A (admittedly brief) Youtube search and I still can't find decent remixes/rearrangements of Route 11 or Route 4 anywhere, to represent what I'd like to hear in a future Smash game.
Sigh... well, at least the anime has orchestra versions of both.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Does anyone think the Operation Rainfall trio will get representation in the next Smash?
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.At the very least, I wouldn't be shocked to see Shulk.
I sure said that!Maybe Xenoblade as an Assist Trophy/trophies/stickers/etc. But other than that, probably not.
I think Xenoblade will get representation, especially with Namco's involvment in the new Smash game (Monolith Soft were owned by Namco before Nintendo bought them), probably through Shulk.
I don't really know much about The Last Story beyond it being well-received in Japan. I guess there's an outside chance of a character, but you are probably better off asking someone else about that.
I doubt Pandora'sTower will get any representation beyond a trophy, as it isn't all that notable compared to the other two.
My standard Anime Theme song game variant rules: [Censored by ACTA]I can totally see Shulk as a character and maybe Zael although he'd be more likely as an assist trophy. Pandora's Tower will probably be lucky if it gets a trophy.
Are all of the Operation Rainfall I Ps owned by Nintendo? I thought it was just Xenoblade.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person. The big sticking point with Rainfall was that they were first party games.
Although Last Story isn't published by them in NA.

All three are owned by Nintendo, but Xenoblade's definitely the Big One of the three.

I sure said that!True but in Japan it was published by them so I assume they own the IP.
They're listed on their page on this site and as the publisher they probably own the rights to that game.

Huh. Learn something new everyday.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.Who would be your least favorite yet highly common "fan pick" for SSB? Mine is Toad, since he doesn't have enough moves, IMO. Shadow is my second pick, since he's not necessarily a 'face' Sonic character, and Tails or Eggman would be more likely to get a role next to Sonic.
Another thing that annoys me is when people put tons of characters from a series on possible SSB rosters. Even plain old mooks. I mean seriously, Shy Guy? Oktorok?
"i'm like the pimpmaster hustledaddy of all snippy bookshrews" -Dave StriderAll three of the Operation Rainfall titles are owned by Nintendo. I definitely think at least Xenoblade and The Last Story will get representation because they're all first party titles and we could always have new IPs have representation.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.No kidding.
But seriously, I see like a fifth of any given fan roster being made up of Sonic characters. Nothing against the series, but I say leave it at the 'Hog himself and be done with it. Tails as an Assist? Eggman as a boss? Sure! But as a third-party character, Sonic alone seems like plenty.

I sure said that!Yeah, I even consider two characters from Sonic to be pushing it extremely far, especially since MGS gets so little attention in fan rosters.
"i'm like the pimpmaster hustledaddy of all snippy bookshrews" -Dave StriderToo many odd Pokemon requests.
Leave it at a legendary or faux legendary, PT, Pikachu, and Jigglypuff and I think it's good. No need to get into the extra Pokemon.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughShy Guy is actually one of the few legitimate options from the Yoshi series, the other being Kamek. I agree with the Octoroks being a bad idea.
And there's more than one main Shy Guy, like General Guy(albeit, he's not a Yoshi character). I slightly agree that there are better options than Mooks, though. I don't think they're a terrible idea, though.
Quest 64 threadI'd avoid them, though. That's what Adventure Mode is for.
Pokemon's in kinda an odd place, so I'll consider it an exception.
I sure said that!Speaking of odd requests, I would love to see a generic Goron and Zora. Either that, or Masked Link.
I think Sonic is the only third party franchise with a remote chance of more than one character. I think every other third party company gets one character.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I don't. Third parties are third parties are third parties, simple as that.
And like I said, stages, Assists, bosses, go all out.
I sure said that!Konami may have a chance with a Belmont, though.
I would rather have another Sega character than another Sonic one. Not that there aren't good choices, though. Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, possibly Eggman(if he doesn't just show up in Adventure Mode).
@Pulse: It might depend if the Mook is playable(in the regular games, that is, ANY from the series) or not. Technically, although not in Smash so far, every Pokemon him/her/itself can practically be a mook, as can the trainers. Depends how you look at it. Regardless, if they're notable enough, or Sakurai clearly likes them enough, they can be playable. I'm not against them as long as a comprehensible moveset can be made.
Albeit, I'm not against any actual character.(when I say I prefer, it just means I like a different option) One exception is non-Nintendo appearing ones and ones who originated outside of games or not to introduce a game(I.E. R.O.B.)

Quest 64 threadBayonetta will be a new Sega character if anything. She's owned by Sega, and her new game is WU exclusive.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. What makes Sonic special? IMO, if a third-party series is high-profile, and been prominently featured on a Nintendo system, it deserves a character (but only one character) regardless of whether the company has other characters in.
For the record, my opinion of what fits that mould is Sonic, Metal Gear, Castlevania, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and pre-VII Final Fantasy.
And Pac-Man, but only because it's important to video games as a whole, and Namco is developing this time.

Peanuts that become items from Diddy's Peanut Popguns? Link and Toon Link's Bombs? Samus's broken armor pieces? I think that's all the character-generated items that don't already have trophies.
Also, while not items, they made 3D models for the Mr. Saturn Tea Table, the Ice Climber Condor, and the Balloon Fight Fish but no trophies. Despite that last one being a prominent stage feature.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
