Eventually I pretty much just gave up on doing the sidequests in Xenoblade...but even then I've had the game for 9 months and I've only just reached the Mechonis Central Factory...

You're around 50-60% depending on how far you are into them.
oh. neat.
Welp. After training on level 8s this morning, I just had a go against each character in the demo on level 9, using Pikachu.
Beat each one on the first try, although I called a mulligan on my first attempt against Link because I, uh, kinda flubbed my recovery and SD'd in like the first ten seconds... and in the rematch I only ended up winning in the last ten seconds by barely gimping his recovery enough for a KO. Pikachu's edgeguarding is powerful and don't you underestimate. And Pikachu had me growling at the 3DS, too, because CPU Pikachu is scary. But then I ended up getting 3 KO's against it with none against me, because I still caught it in an f-smash in the last ten seconds and then... it just kinda SD'd for no apparent reason. Welp!
My final fight against Mario, though, forced me into a Sudden Death. Mario in this game continues to be one of the most terrifying CPU opponents I can imagine. My god. I was so mad because I just do not expect to win a Sudden Death against a level 9 CPU, and I thought I'd jinxed it by thinking about my perfect win streak before the match.
... Well, anyway.
Getting the game tomorrow!
I'm ready.
Whew.
Sounds like Mario is a force to be reckoned with in this game.
It's about time.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)For some reason, all of these awesome new stages have ignited my interest in a Grima's back stage.
This song needs more love. That'd be cool, but we already have one new and one returning stage on the Wii U version. I doubt we'll get a second new stage.
I do hope we get a DK, Kirby, or Yoshi stage soon, though. No new ones there yet.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!@Fawful Crump: Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Corneria is an updated version of Sector Z. And I was hoping for an updated version of that.
By Corneria, I was referring to the stages that take place on the Great Fox, not the actual area itself. This, I realize, is a new stage though, not really similar to Corneria at all.
So I meant to say it's like an updated version of Corneria, another stage that takes place on the Great Fox.
Hope I didn't overexplain or not explain enough. I'm not the best at the putting of the words together.

Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay. I'm sure we can fly, on my love! 3DS Friend Code: 2809-9138-8756It's about time.
I'm good with Mario! He's my best character! Even better with Dr. Mario!
Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay. I'm sure we can fly, on my love! 3DS Friend Code: 2809-9138-8756Mario is the leader of Nintendo and the most recognizable character in the world.
He'd better be damn terrifying to fight on level 9.
"Marth likes just the tip, Lucina likes the whole thing."Some people go as far to say that this time around Mario is even stronger than Dr. Mario.
I'm the guy who knows how to make games but doesn't. 3DS FC: 2878-9776-7579Are CP Us really that dangerous? I can beat three level 9s fairly consistently and I was never able to do that in Brawl. It can't be because I got better because I hadn't played Smash in years until the demo came out.
I have no idea. A lot of people seem to think they got stronger, me included. I mean, I'm not a terrible player; I can play circles around some people for whom beating three level 9s is a mildly entertaining way to kill time, but in this game, a single one seems very challenging to me? I mean, I've always been kinda terrible against CPU opponents in particular, but... *shrugs* I also heard at least one other person say that they thought the game got easier. So I really have no idea.
I think the nature of how they work changed. They're less about frame-perfect powershielding and such now, but their tactics are more varied and smarter, and they won't just keep jabbing at you in order to be 100% sure that they hit you in some way, but they'll actually take any opportunity that offers itself to smack you with a powerful move. Which there are a lot of when you're a frame-perfect AI.

They aren't aggressive to the point of stupidity anymore, either. It used to be way easier to goad computers into doing suicidal stuff by dangling a potential KO in front of them.
I sure said that! They are "harder"...but its actually because they play a lot smarter than in previous games.
To me, I only really notice that they just dodge more, A LOT more.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Making a character takes about a year
So there're your clones.
I absolutely buy that... In terms of manhours.
I sure said that!Another expansion to how Character creation goes.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Wow, I didn't know it took that long. I am less upset about their still being clones now!
I can't wait to get the game tommorow! I don't have school Friday, so I have that, plus the entire rest of the weekend to play Smash!
And I think Lv. 9 computers on the new Smash are harder as well. They kicked my butt! I did beat them, but it was once, and I think it went down to Sudden Death!
Even if some people find it easier, it's definitely much better than this!
I'm not sure I'll ever quite get over the whole "Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing" gimmick.
I'm receiving conflicting reports from my Amazon info- My copy is being shipped early tomorrow, which means it'll arrive either midday tomorrow or properly on launch day, since I'm so close to one of their main distribution centers.

I sure said that!
I beat Fire Emblem enough times to be ready. Trust me.
