What you fail to take into account is that Yamame is not just a youkai, and Spider Man, and Jesus, but also Hannah freaking Montana.

HAH!

I approve of her costume. It stands to reason that when everybody recognizes what you look like when you're dressed in elaborate clothing, wearing less is like being in disguise.

I can just imagine Yuugi squinting and wondering who that unmasked heroine was. And then Satori just rolls her eyes.

I wasn't aware that Hannah Montana has the amazing power to stop people from recognizing her by just taking off her shirt.

Now what on Earth is that supposed to mean?

Well, the thing is, people wouldn't be staring at her face if her shirt was off. Therefore, disguised.

Oh, I see. That's a risky thing to bet your secret identity on, though. It seems like it would be safer to just wear a mask.

Therefore the best disguise is to wear a mask and nothing but!

Yes. Less likely to be considered a hero and more likely to be arrested. I speak from experience here.

Well, she ordered a sort of spandexy costume but she felt too exposed wearing something that tight.

[up] I would like to hear more about that.

So... sin sacks are superheroes?

... Or supervillains...

Let's just say that being on the wrong side of a supervillain with a sense of humour and the power to cause hallucinations can be deeply unpleasant.

Power Girl (who really needs to be renamed Power Woman) seems to make it work. Granted, she's actually pretty covered, it's just that the combination of her "window" and her assets seems to be as effective of a distraction as... well, only wearing a mask.

And I have no idea where this conversation about Yamame being a superhero sprang from...

[down]...How the hell did I miss that? Oh wait, that was the other thread. Disregard.

Apparently, coming back to this thread caused me to skip a page. Weird.

I think I'll have something more to say about Yamame later, but right now, I'll jsut say I love her theme, even if it reminds me of Team Rocket. And I also agree that it sounds like a theme for all the underground youkai (while Parsee's stage theme sounds like... the stage theme for all the underground youkai).

Actually, I think Subterranean Animism has the best soundtrack of the mainline games aside from Unidentified Fantastic Object.

EDIT: Also, this post seems to be more of a response to the other Interpretation thread that Bocaj linked to. I was wondering how several more pages suddenly sprang up...

EDIT 2: The idea of Yamame being a superhero, as well as the idea that her boyfriend is the Japanese Spiderman, reminded me of this.

I'mma make an essay later but since I went to the trouble of finding Yamame's entry in the last thread, have some random Yamame facts spread throughout the linked page.

Everyone knows that all superheroes have one true weakness. What is Yamame's? Discuss.

Getting shot in the face with danmaku. A lot.

you'll then have a grave in the clouds where you won't lie too cramped

I'm pretty sure that's just DC heroes since they tend to be so overpowered that they need a ridiculous weakness so they can still do stories about fighting street crime with any amount of dramatic tension.

And I say that Yamame's weakness is that she's a lightweight when it comes to drinking. That's why she left the party early to go visit with Kisume. Hang around at an oni's party too long and you're going to drink to excess.

You WILL ALWAYS get drunk if you party with the oni. NO EXCEPTIONS!

I finally finished this after hours of writing. It often turned romantic so I had to constantly modify it because it was... embarrassing. So here it is, for my dear Yamame:

Little Miss Spider

Little miss spider, infamous for your poison

Known to live in the pit so creepy

To be staying in this hell, you must be scary

But I know you are not, but a lovely “person”

As close as “person” gets to a creature of warm impression

From a smile that says “Always happy”

Yet a power over illness has you lonely?

No more, by your power, you remove the infection

Now, many creatures, of all kinds, are your friends

Joyfully, you play with them, this game of danmaku

Ow! It hurts! Painful this game but your smile relieves the pain

What’s that? An incident! Humans have arrived! Do they plan to resolve this incident?

Oh, these humans are strong, for their power defeated you

Never mind, in this chance meeting, despite defeat, a new friend is gained

I think I did something last night...

... Well that was cute. Is it a song? Does it have a melody?

Well, I didn't have any Yamame avatars last time that really pleased me, so let's try this again. Picdump time?

This was actually kinda disappointing. Nothing really screamed AVATAR to me. I skipped out on some nice pictures because they didn't focus on her.

She also has a slightly above average adult/unrated ratio. Guess people like spiders.
