I guess that Kanako can help the Kappa bring their technology up to spec if they're willing to learn. After all, she at least knows that Nuclear power -> electricity (which was her reason for uplifting Okuu) and the Three StoogesMoriyas are fresh out of a 21st century or later Japan.
Right. She could provide the electricity for what a hasty look at Wikipedia tells me is called the "Hall-Héroult process", which sounds more like a bureaucratic procedure than an aluminium smelting technique.

I still vote for Byakuren's purple hair wig. I mean that's the only explanation she's still alive despite having no obvious hat. Her purple hair is actually a wig.
Supposedly, the kappa also built Hatatatatatate's phone camera so I wouldn't write them out of the technology game yet.
The fact that they wanted to blow up a mountain could just suggest that they lean more towards the Mythbusters method of science than any studiously intricate one when left to their own devices.

Why are so many names fun to say over and over
WHO IS THIS LOSERThat's a good question. There are a lot of names that are fun to say just once, too. Hinanawi. Himekaidou. Kamishirasawa. Kitashirakawa.

Because repetition. Which is to say that the reason why its fun to say some names over and over again is the joy of repeating certain sounds. So repetition of those names is enjoyable due to the way the names sound when repeated.

Forever liveblogging the Avengers...Sure, Why Not? Monkey girls are rare.

I wonder how long until ZUN creates a Touhou-ized Journey to the West cast including female Son Goku. Touhou 14?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHe can name her Sonson and then put her in Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
oh wait.
WHO IS THIS LOSERTouhou 16. He'll probably stay on the track started by Ten Desires for two more games
you'll then have a grave in the clouds where you won't lie too crampedDid you miss the part about it being a magic camera?
The studiously intricate one is the one that produces results. And there's also the fact that no matter how smart any of them individually is, and no matter what outside information Kanako might give them to jump-start their progress, they still don't have the infrastructure to get anything of any kind of moderately large scale done. And apparently they lack the patience to develop such an infrastructure. At best they'll be mad scientists with No Plans, No Prototype, No Backup creating unique items that probably rely on magic to work.
No, no Clarste. The magic was in Hatatatatatatatate all along. Possibly in her heart.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersNow, I adore Nitori and I guess I have stuff to say about her, but I'd personally prefer to say that stuff when I'm actually mentally present. Which will not be the case until the end of next week, which is when the book convention is over. Also, we already had a highly popular character, so I'd encourage a lesser known character next. Like, I dunno. Wriggle.
But-but-but-but-but, there's no good minor character to transition to from Marisa! We can't just jump to Mari from Chen and jump again!
Mind you, I have nothing against Wriggle. I just think it's jarring

If a thematic connection is really necessary, we could go with her erstwhile master Mima.
Wriggle is unpopular?
Or Alice, Orange, Patchy, or Sanae.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersNone of those are minor characters. Except maybe Orange, if you really want to twist my arm about it.
That's why I suggested the Watatsuki sisters. Last I checked everyone hates them.
We can no longer be friends.

What would she do, dance a fever? Is that supposed to motivate them?Otherwise, Iku wouldn't really help build a power source so much as be the power source.Oh wait, you meant the aluminum, not the hydroelectric dam. DISREGARD.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...
