I fee like we're switching too fast, but I was away from the computer when most of the discussion happened
I'll vote for Hina if we're moving on

"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowI can't help but feel that we're jumping the gun more than a little, but I dunwanna get lost in the shuffle, so I vote for Mystia.
And since I haven't done it yet; Blood is amazing!

I sure said that!Oh yeah, I forgot:
Look at that blood! That blood is amazing!
Give it a lick! It tastes just like raisin!*
I have no horse, and I must ride. I accomplish unlockments.Have we discussed Remilia's relationship with Flandre in depth?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI think that would be a better point brought up whenever we get to Flandre

"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowWhy? Its an aspect of Remilia's character as well.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHmmm...
Well this has a canon conversation between them.
Cherish it.
I have no horse, and I must ride. I accomplish unlockments. Can I use my birthday vote (which was yesterday) for the Prismrivers?
That awkward moment where Kyoro is one of Satan's Generals.I do cherish it. Its one of the only times that they interact in canon.
I don't actually remember if there's another.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersRemi is very multifaceted, and interacts with lots of the rest of the cast fairly often. Flan, on the other hand... doesn't. Her relationship with Remi is a much larger percentage of her character.

I sure said that! You linked the wrong wiki. http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Touhou_Wiki is the good one.
I just googled the Flandre article, checked that the first link worked, and linked it.
Don't shoot the messenger, blame Sanae... or in this case google would be more apropos, but I prefer blaming Sanae.
I have no horse, and I must ride. I accomplish unlockments. This raised some good points about Touhou's immortal population. So... (leans back in chair, stares at ceiling, begins lucubrating) Mokou's immortality removed her death, and since she was an otherwise unaltered human she was not prepared for the consequences. Tenshi's immortality came from a change in location, and since she was an otherwise unaltered human she couldn't adjust. Humans who become magicians to gain some measure of immortality do so through intense study and preparation, which possibly helps them get a handle on their lives post-transformation. And gods and yama and suchlike presumably are sufficiently nonhuman that the idea of living forever doesn't cause them any problems.
So, Remi. One of the refreshing things about Touhou's preeminent vampire is that she doesn't display the angst afflicting so many other bloodsuckers. No "boo-hoo, I'm a monster that has to prey on others to survive," no whining about outliving friends and family. Perhaps she's good at hiding it - her theme song has a nice hint of melancholy to it, if you listen to it the right way - or maybe she's simply well-adjusted to her state of being. So the question is why.
If she was never "turned" in the Western notion of vampirism, and she was born a bloodsucker, then it's likely she has the same mental fortitude as other supernatural beings to help her handle the weight of the centuries. On the other hand, if she was transformed into a vampire, then perhaps the process that did so also altered her mind to the same effect. Perhaps the freshly-vamped Remilia woke up with a clear sense of identity and purpose, and immediately came to terms with being a conceivably immortal predator. Or perhaps her pre-transformation mind was just better prepared for her new reality than the likes of Mokou and Tenshi. Young children generally don't fret too much about the distant future, and perhaps an aristocrat would already possess the selfishness and arrogance that's a fundamental part of being a vampire.
So perhaps that's why, after five hundred years of life, Remilia is still basically a child. I used to entertain the notion of Remilia as an old, jaded woman stuck in a prepubescent body, but looking at her this way altered that perception - her childishness could be the key to her sanity, the reason she never went feral like Mokou. Maybe that's what the supplementary materials mean by the "never grow up" remark - it's not a matter of physical growth, but mental. Maybe adult minds just aren't prepared for immortality, at least not without years of training and meditation.
...Though this theory hits a snag in the form of childish Tenshi. Hmm. Perhaps environment is important as well, and a Remi stuck in Heaven would be just as desperate for an Incident as Tenshi. Or maybe it was having Flan around that made things bearable. Oh well. Art dump! (NSFW again)
- That's a dangerous look
- "Yeah. I can do fire."
- Having a blast
- Awesome SFX
- Uncharacteristically vulnerable
- Very pale
- The background steals your attention from the foreground
- Going overboard with your themes there
- This looks familiar...
- Chibi of doom!
- Whole pale undead waif thing going on
- Brings to mind a quote from the Libris Mortis: "When the thirst comes upon me so fiercely that I can't recall my own name, when the searing Eye of the Day scalds my flesh, or as loneliness shrouds the vacuum where my soul used to reside, I wonder if I am as invincible as I pretend."
- This one was a bitch to find
- Found this along the way
- Not sure why, but I like it
- Ditto
- Looks more grown-up here
- Nontraditional style stood out
- Tumbling
- I dare say this is out of character
- Yeah, this would work if she were a waifish barrier maiden instead of, well, Remilia

- So many ruffles
- An entire village of churches

- "Relax, I know what I'm doing"
- Laundry
Most of that came from "remilia_scarlet + solo." Made it to page 62 of 125, I think. And that third one from the bottom made me wonder what Remi would make of Shinki...
Current earworm: "Awe of the Unknown"Minds that never mature enough to see the gory little details in everything are also immune to becoming jaded. I think that's why Remi's sanity can hold up despite (presumably) having been mortal once as opposed to something totally other like the majority of Gensokyo gals.

I really don't think it is time to change from Remilia just yet (even if I personally am having less and less relevant things to say about her.)
However, if we do vote for someone else, I vote Akyuu.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.If we change now, we'll have spent more time on Remilia's house then Remilia herself. Which leads me to believe we're more interested in real estate then vampires.
But if we are moving on, I'm voting for Kaguya as outlined in my plan.
Heart of StoneI think it kinda helped that when we talked about the SDM, we did touch up a bit on all it's residents (Remilia included).
I think this has to do with how this discussion is winding down so fast. We just talked about Meiling, then we moved to the SDM, then to Remilia. I guess, it just sorta seems like we already talked about her (even if we didn't). I personally see this as a problem with talking about characters in groupings (even if this particular case was unintentional), as sure you keep the momentum from previous discussions, but at the same time it feels that we already talked about the person who happens to come later in the "group discussion", likely because of when we talked about them in relation to the previous things/characters. I hope I am making sense?
ON TOPIC: Blood is amazing! Gungnir is amazing! The SDM is amazing! Red mist is amazing! Charisma is amazing! Remilia is amazing! (and just think, I was kinda bleh on Remilia before this)
I'm just happy no one made any of the really obvious jokes. (Well, aside from "Blood is amazing". There are worse Remilia jokes out there than that one)
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.That doesn't mean it needed to be run into the ground.

Yes, true. I'm sorry.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.
Hmmm... something about Remilia.
Well, the Scarlet Mist; from the incident. It came from her fingers.
What does that mean? I have no clue. Is it important? No. Why am I asking you all these questions? I'm not. Was the Molina ruse a distaction? A wha—
