The uniforms are unique to the Moon's Messengers, Yorihime's pets. Because she has a schoolgirl fetish, apparently

Reisen II wore the uniform before becoming Yorihime's pet though. Of course, Yorihime might have influence on the Lunarian Clothe The Bunnies Committee so schoolgirl fetish isn't ruled out.

She was wearing the Tewi dress because she heard that's what earth rabbits wear which is pretty much right. Only the carrot pendant of leadership differentiates how Tewi dresses.

Reisen II is wearing the schoolgirlish uniform here which occurs before she becomes the -himes pet.

Hm. I could have sworn I read something about it being Yorihime's thing. Let me check CiLR

Okay, can't find anything. So it's the leader of the moon with the schoolgirl fetish. Seems kind of odd that Yorihime wouldn't make uniforms, though

Reisen ~ Elegant Inaba Of The Waves

This is my morning: wake up, possibly due to Tewi's antics. I don't wake up screaming anymore, which is good. Eirin's helped a lot with that. Sometimes, I wake up with a smile, and sometimes I decide that I need to be more serious; either way, skirt, shirt, jacket. Sometimes, mostly in the very humid summers, I dispense with the jacket. Lady Kaguya doesn't seem to mind, but - well, dressing well never hurt anyone, even if my jacket does come from the moon.

Sometimes, I wonder if I should just burn it. But I like it too much on its own merits, even if it does come from my old home. It's a lot better here, you know, even if there aren't any moon rabbits like me here. Tewi's crazy, Eirin is my master (and any relationship outside that of master and student would be improper) and Lady Kaguya is sometimes rather strange for an elegant lady from the moon. She doesn't really think of me as an equal - and I half-expect that, every time she calls me Inaba. Old habits die hard, I guess.

And humans. I ran from them, and it didn't feel right to be around them when I first came here. I try to act like a doctor should, detached and caring only about the well-being of my patients, and it wasn't hard. It shouldn't be hard, at least. But - ah, it would be so easy for me to just mask my presence completely, hide from all of them, just give them what is needed and go. But that wouldn't be proper. And talking a bit never hurt anyone, even if it's with humans.

I'm not an incident resolver, like the Hakurei maiden. There was that one time, with the flowers, but I was mainly there to catch Tewi and send her back home. I don't like to talk about that. At all. No, I won't tell you about when I met the Yama. No, I won't tell you what she told me. Look, I'm not crying. Not a bit. That's all behind me - finished - there's nothing more to be done. I'm fine living here, and I'm never going to go back.

This is my job: to care for Lady Kaguya. I'm happy doing my job. I rarely need to even use my danmaku - my guns are always at my side now, and all I need to do to use them is point and whisper "bang". The last part isn't strictly necessary, but it never hurts. But I've gotten off track. I bring her food, and entertain her as well as I can, and listen politely to all her stories - she really is a most amazing storyteller - and I do what I can to keep Tewi from giving her ideas. Every day, a new challenge. Things never get old here, if you'll excuse my little joke.

Of course, my guns aren't the only things that allow me to defend the Lady Kaguya with my life. I control the waves that flow between everything. I can change them - perhaps someone else could do terrible things with them, but I just make people see what isn't there and not see what's really there. All they have to do is stare into my eyes, the eyes that have seen the moon, and then I have them in my power.

Ah, what's that? You must excuse me. The Lady Kaguya requires my presence once again, and it does not do to be tardy. Come again, if you like...

Time keeps dragging on.

A manipulative little bunny

Silent Sinner in Blue. The real story was the behind the scenes mental duel between the manipulations of Eirin and those of Yukari all set off by an useless little bunny, only good for her plot appeal. Until you realize that that useless little bunny was a third manipulator acting behind the behind the scenes and she pulled a fast one over on them all. For who would suspect the ditz who loudly proclaims herself a spy to the ones she's spying on? Well, maybe we should have. All signs point to this being the face of a mad genius.

She enters the story in a sort of meteoric way, getting herself knocked out by space debris and almost robbed by the Hakurei miko. Its here that the cover first slips. In order to protect her route back to the moon, she has to reveal herself as more than just a useless little bunny by flash stepping behind Reimu. It's then when Reimu just nods off right in the middle of a potential confrontation. Sure she was tired from running around all night and you might think that's all until you remember that manipulation of waves isn't unique to Reisen. Using the moment of surprise, Reisen II mind-jacks Reimu into falling asleep and forgetting her precise appearance. Despite appearing during the battle with Yorihime, Reimu never recognizes her.

She then visits Eientei where Eirin refuses to become the leader of a rebellion and sends her back to the moon with a message for the Moon Princesses so Reisen II won't get punished as severely for running from the moon. Her "punishment" is to join Yorihime and Toyohime's Lunar Defense force and become their new pet. And this is precisely where she wants to be.

It should be clear to the readers how Reisen II revealed she knew too much. She went looking for Eirin in Gensokyo, even though being in the sealed realm of Gensokyo supposedly hid the Eientei crew from the lunar emissaries. Even though she intended to bring Eirin back to the moon, she only brought one lunar cloak as if she knew she would be returning alone.

And for a lunar rabbit who started off as a mochi pounder, she finds herself in all the hot spots of the story. Not only does she spectate the battle between Remilia's rocket crew and Yorihime, she also is the rabbit that accompanies Toyohime during her confrontation with Yukari.

Her original name is never told but also never asked by her new masters. Aside from her background as a mochi pounder, nothing is known about her. Now Reisen II is in the perfect position as the pet of the moon princesses and given the name of their old pet. She knows about the moon princesses overlooking the renegades Eirin and Kaguya and more than just that, frequently visiting them. She knows about how the princesses are viewed with suspicion by the other lunarians. She may even find out about the ghosts from Earth sneaking onto the moon right under the princesses' noses. And when the time is right that information will be used to discredit the princesses.

With the princesses out of the way, nothing will stop the lunar rabbits from taking control of the moon for themselves. They've been taught Lunarian technology and armed with Lunarian weaponry. The Lunarians use of lunar rabbits as front line soldiers will leave them vulnerable to the battle being brought to their doorstep. And the lunar rabbits have a perfect, unblockable communication network between themselves. And leading them will be their nameless general.

This will all be covered in Touhou 13: Eternal Eastern Lunar Rebellion Land Story. Playable characters will include Reisen/Tewi, Kaguya/Mokou, Eirin/Medicine, and the obligatory Reimu/Marisa.

I care. The main reason I watch this thread is to get in pointless arguments with people. The other reason is to read other people's interpretations.

Actually, as I've said at least once, there's theoretically no limit to when an interpretation can be posted. If you wrote it now, Faw can link it from the Komachi write-up for people who read through the thread later.

That was pretty neat. To answer an earlier concern, yeah, it does feel like you were sometimes trying a little too hard to make your write-ups sound... impressive. It kinda made the write-up on the Lunar Capital seem like you were being sarcastic in parts. This one seems to flow a lot more naturally, so that's good.

I like this part:

This is my job: to care for Lady Kaguya. I'm happy doing my job. I rarely need to even use my danmaku - my guns are always at my side now, and all I need to do to use them is point and whisper "bang". The last part isn't strictly necessary, but it never hurts. Most of all I like the idea of Kaguya being a great storyteller, but aside from that, I like how you're actually looking into some character interactions.

@pictures: Hmm, my favorite of those so far would be this one, but that doesn't really show her normal appearance, does it? On that note, I also like what she wears during the summer. But I gravitate too much towards somber pictures... The first one looks too "artificial" for my tastes, but it does show her well. This cozy one is nice. This one is pretty cool. And the last one, too, sidemouth notwithstanding. Ah hell, this one is good enough, too.

I have to say I'm not too impressed with most Reisen art I've seen. Browsed through a bunch of pages and... uh.

Well, next time I should probably try Safebooru instead.

Hint for Tacitus, by the way.

So yeah. Man, given how many people clamored for her, I woulda expected more discussion! Unfortunately, I don't have much to say on the Traveling Bunny myself. Never put much thought into her beyond what you saw in the profile...

Maybe it's just me, but Reisen, like Koishi, seems to be prone to a lot of fantastically creepy fanart. ...And well, a lot of "only good for sex appeal" art, which bothers me more than it should.

And I thought I said something about the new layout before, but I like it. Looks more professional.

Reisen - The Outsiders' Perspective

Tewi: Reisen? Why do you want to know about Reisen? She's okay, I guess. I just wish she wasn't so serious all the time. "Tewi, stop messing around with the flowers and get back to work!" "Tewi, you told all the rabbits to take a break?" "Tewi, why did you put a pit trap in the bathroom?!" Okay, okay, I guess she had a point about the last one, though she wasn't even the target that time. Still, she's so serious about everything. I guess she has our best interests at heart though.

Eirin: Reisen? Yes, you won't find a more capable rabbit than her. As a moon rabbit, she's much more sturdier than the rabbits here at Eientei. Still, it's strange to see any rabbit, even one from the moon, be so serious. It must be from her training for the Lunar War. Of course, this is just a theory. Reisen hasn't talked much about the moon since she came here. I don't think she has pleasant memories about it.

Kaguya: Reisen? Right, the newer rabbit. I wonder about her ears. The human ones feel real, but she reacts when you touch the rabbit ones. I think they did something with them on the moon. I'd ask her, but Eirin told me not to.

I imagine Raz Fox's write-up as Aya's interview and this write up as Hatate trying to one up her. Also, I write Kaguya as a spaced-out middle schooler. I'm not sure why.

I disagree. There are 168,191 "Touhou"-tagged images on Danbooru. If it bothers you to such an extent that if the word "bother" were steganographically encrypted in every pixel of those dozens of thousands of images, it would not equal one billionth of the bother you feel at this instant, then that's probably overdoing it, but anything short of that and I think you're fine.
