Why do you guys not like Arys Oakheart? He's one of the genuinely decent characters in the series.
I would read a whole book from his perspective; but, then again, I would have liked a whole book from Cressen's perspective.
If you want any of my avatars, just Pm me I'd truly appreciate any avatar of a reptile sleeping in a Nice Hat Read Elmer Kelton booksApparently, the subject of whether or not to give Arys a POV chapter was one of the things that gave GRRM a bit of writer's block. There's an interview floating around Youtube where he talks about why he included it. Basically, he wanted to audience to understand why he chose to sacrifice himself, but since Arianna never understood that, that couldn't be accomplished through her POV.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."
Only because he was a minor POV with a single chapter. Make him our POV in Dorne throughout the novel, then have his death at the end, and I would like him more. I dislike him on principle, might as well have a random prisoner in the Black Cells being the POV for the main characters down there.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I don't think people dislike him, do they? They just don't think he should have been a POV for one chapter. If he'd mad more pagetime, there'd be no problem.
PS: Sean Bean in drag. That is all.

For Glorious Sociopathy! Peace Through Firepower! My Halo/ Foz crossover fic http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7082058/1/Spartan_of_ZeroI can't even tell you how happy this makes me.
Actually, I can. It's a little more happy then I usually am. Which isn't very much, sure, but still... Pretty cool.
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.HOW CAN YOU BE HAPPY AT THAT?!
It was a badass moment for the Lannisters and the series as a whole, but it was still so awful at the same time.
I'm happy because that's really all I wanted out of season three.
Also, it was funny.
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.I'm going to watch that episode with my non-reader friends and be all like this◊.
I'm still thinking that the television show will pull the twist of a lifetime and split away from the book's plot at that point.
Because, who would see that coming?
If you want any of my avatars, just Pm me I'd truly appreciate any avatar of a reptile sleeping in a Nice Hat Read Elmer Kelton bookseveryone who has not read the books
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterAccording to some on-site source I read somewhere The headless-Robb scene is shown to the viewers. You're not gonna get a happy ending.
Was there every any doubt that it's happen? It's not like they could remove it without radically altering the plot, and there's no reason to change it because it's so well executed. I like the sound of how apocalyptic it's all going to look, though. Eeexcellent.
@Sock that gif is hilarious.

Sock...
"You can reply to this Message!"Of course it's going to happen. They'd lose everyone who read the books otherwise. And Joffrey had better bite it too, although probably in Season 4.
Trump delenda estSo I heard ASOS will be split into two seasons but how is that going to work out? The Red Wedding (which will probably be either the last episode or the second to last) occurs around page 700 which is about two thirds of the way through the book, not half. They could certainly get three or four more episodes out of the last bunch of pages but I feel like ten is just not going to work right. Will the Red Wedding happen sooner or something?

Then they'll probably just move up or down events or just not show them until the next season like Dany rampaging through the rest of Slavers Bay or Jon Snow getting back to the Night's Watch. There's only so much they can afford to show anyways.
All the Ewoks will look up and shout, "Save us from the Klingons!" And I'll whisper, "Why so serious?"It's spoilery... But here's the alphabet, ASOIAF style.
I think I've seen that before, but it's marvellous.
Don't know where they dug out Urrigon and Zei, don't remember them at all...
Urrigon was the brother Aeron killed finger dancing.
No idea who Zei is, though.
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.Zei was the Mole Town whore that helped defend the Wall from the wildlings.

The Greyjoys: a recurring warning of the evils of "finger-dancing" with your siblings.
http://winteriscoming.net/2012/10/new-photos-include-first-look-at-daario-and-missandei/
New pictures of Daario. what do you guys think? Less ridiculous and flamboyant but I guess there's a "smirk" of arrogance in his looks.
For Glorious Sociopathy! Peace Through Firepower! My Halo/ Foz crossover fic http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7082058/1/Spartan_of_ZeroHe's the guy on the right? Huh. Well, he looks strong-yet-sexy enough, yet I kinda wish they've kept the beard. Daario always had this sort of pirate-y like feel that only a beard can capture.
And it would require extra editing beyond simply merging the books. There's a dialog that happens both in Sam's chapter in Feast and Jon's chapter in Dance, for example.
