I guess so.
Actually I don't think the super came from Salty. That was just one of the beta experiments that have been going on recently.
Salty! itself had more Beowulf stuff and a new (hypest) stage.
Beowulf is also going to be beta ready soon.
My poster from the Kickstarter arrived today!
And it is, as befits most of the characters depicted, classy as hell. I'm gonna look for a frame this weekend to hang it up.
I have a message from another time...Beowulf coming to beta as soon as Mike updates! Which should be some time today.

When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefBeen a while. Well, Eliza's was one hell of a story mode.
I have a message from another time...I've been having SO much fun with Beowulf since he descended unto the beta. I realize the irony of maining the only two guys in a game called SkullGIRLS, but i'm really feeling Big Band/Beowulf when he gets finished and thrown into the retail version.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Urgh. Is there a good way to better learn the ropes in this game? because I'm really bad at it. Like, "maybe this time I'll land a hit" kind of bad. I really want to enjoy the game, but at the level I'm playing, every match is a curb stomp in one direction or the other.
I have a message from another time...Unfortunately, all I can say is keep practicing. It might be a good idea to watch some streams from top players or something though, I know at least a couple of them are willing to give newbies tips on how to play. Dekillsage, for instance.
There's a reason the announcer gets pissed if matches are close - the game is more or less designed for one side to blow out the other, even if both players are skilled.
@Enlong, I'd suggest reading up the official Skullheart forums or asking some practice from the official IRC (I can PM the link for you to that if you wish.) I'm trying to train myself better as well, so I'm going to the chat for some sparring.
@Enlong: If you're on PC, go hit up one of the Skullgirls Steam groups. They're frequently doing stuff in-game.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Enlong, do you use the quarter-circle attacks? I didn't become competent against the AI until I'd gotten used to those motions, which I had never found a need to use before. Thankfully, it's not detrimental to practice these in Training Mode, unlike some other things (button press timing for instance seems to be different between Training and well... everything else.)
Also against easier-difficulty A.I.s, it's perfectly reasonable to figure out 2-4 attacks per character and just stick with those the whole way. Probably a bad idea to do that if you want to beat human opponents however.

I would really enjoy those playthroughs more if they could get through one reciting all of the lines, instead of cracking jokes. A little humor is nice, but it's more of a Let's Play than a dubbed voice-over.
I spent awhile studying the Practice Mode, and while I'm not great, I was able to clear some of the Story Mode. Only fighter that really frustrated me was the Skull Girl.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I did a playthrough of Nadia's story on the Steam version if you want a straight playthrough.
Are you talking about the playthroughs where the actual voice actors dub their characters? Shoot, I don't mind the jokes for the sole fact that it's as close to an official fully voiced story mode as we'll likely get barring some sort of DLC.
Beowulf's action shot has been finished, yay for the character page!◊
Now to speculate on who the outlined character is...
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit! No need, it's Grendel.
It's Grendel.
Look at how perfectly the arm is placed to attach to the outline.
I have a message from another time...Ohhhh, it's Grendel, almost didn't notice the arm's placement.
I like the new "monster Akuma" design he has now.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Tried out Beowulf in the beta and I like how he's basically Suplex Kirby.
It's not like there's a copyright on Special moves or properties. It's more of a Shout-Out or a Homage than anything, a la Blazblue Unilimited Supers.
Besides, think of how many fighting games blatantly copy Street Fighter specials to the T
