Jerk Sue Examples?

I am doing an article on Jerk Sues for dA. I need some examples. I'm already thinking of using Rose Potter for my main example but I need some others. Links are appreciated so I can comb through and give examples in excerpts.

So help?

See the titular character of Haruhi Suzumiya. She seems virulently anti-social, utterly and totally obnoxious, physically incapable of expressing all but the most base and banal emotions. She treats people around her horribly (like objects) and is selfish and manipulative. To cap that all off she is God.

ah nice. I've heard bits and pieces of the story. After reading that I do wish the authors had gone the 'Haruhi is a sociopath' route. That would have been interesting.

It's written by another fellow who shares the same feelings I have on Haruhi. He certainly has some strong words to say.

Haruhi is a definite Your Milage May Vary, I personally just think she has problems knowing how other people feel and how to act around them.

But for actual examples: Ebony/Enoby/Whatever from My Imortal is a classic example, and I'm sure you can find many other examples by simply reading the bad fic pages we got hanging around here.

Also, while she's not a real jerkass sue, Honor Harrington had one instance of jerk sue in The Short Victorious War. She runs into the cousin of a guy she beat the shit out of in the last book. When the cousin tries to talk to her she rips him a new one verbally before he can say anything. This is portrayed as a somewhat rash, but reasonable thing for her to do. And then it turns out the guy hates her and wants to ruin her career.

My impression of that scene: The guy wanted to hear her side of the story (because his cousin is a douche), but is blown off. Then he decides that his cousin is right in that she's a total psycho and tries to get her out of the service.

Anyway, that's my view.

Tsunderes that are taken too far.

I'm saying you could just go to the tsundere page and go find some canon examples.

I'm trying to focus on fan fic examples because I don't care for making 'Canon Sue' accusations.

You could use it for how jerks can be done well, or where they might be getting inspiration from.

Or is this article not that expansive?

Neville Longbottom of Dumbledores Army And The Year Of Darkness (link in trope article) would be a classic example, especially given that he's part of the common trend of turning meek, unassuming characters with the occasional CMOA into these.

He also contrasts well with Rose Potter, being a male Jerk Sue from the same fandom who is handled in a very different way.
