Eh. It's only nonsensical because you had to get the prequel novel to understand literally half of what was going on.

... I liked the Utena movie.

Never saw it.

The Utena movie is BEAUTIFUL. But that's really about all it is besides mind screw. The characters kind of lost their depth along the way. Still, I find it an enjoyable watch if you're into visual port mind screwy sorts of things.

So basically, a more mild version of 3.0.

Dang, it's only now that I've realized just how ridiculous Unit 2+8 looks when combined. Gurren Lagann, this is not.

Well it's not like they're Nerv who have endless army of Evas and countless spare parts. They have to make due with what they have. It just happens that it results in Frankenstein's Eva.

Still, they could have done better than just lazily pasting two halves together. Why not use the parts from the damaged Evas to create a brand new Unit or something? Or at the very least, combine it in a way that isn't just two halves.

Is Anno and crew that lazy in terms of ideas. Though considering that they turned one of the most iconic mechas/creatures in all of anime into nothing more than a fricken fuel source, I guess so,

Because those are the only Evas they have. Like I said all the spare parts belong to Nerv so the best they can do is stitch them together. That's not to say it isn't ugly, it is, and I don't see why they would make a model for it, but I do think it makes sense.

It's only a matter of time when Yui-sama goes apeshit on Wille and everything around.

Salmon and Crimson don't got well together. Who knew?

Kamen Rider Double stole the concept from Choujin Barom One anyway, they have no proper claim.

It also worked for the Evil Santa in Robot Chicken.

Kamen Rider and Evangelion would be a an awesome combo.

Especially if it was Shin Kamen Rider Prologue.
