So, I've just come back from my annual volunteering with turtle conservation.
Here
I am, soaking wet, with a baby loggerhead turtle. I've just come off the beach at 6 in the morning.

some close-ups of the turtles. We saved these guys from being drowned in the crazy high tides.
And here
is a lovely shot of a beach (not the same beach as the turtle nests, though). That dead log is called the Dragon Tree and has been there for as long as I can remember. It usually has a 'fin' in the middle, but it's either been broken off or covered up by the storm.
