Bump.
Does anyone know what the spoken dialog is? I wanna know so badly.
Damn Capcom keeping Frank the only character with an actual English voice.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Aside of a few phrases * , no.
I can figure out a few of the exchanges due to context and picking out a few words. For example, Tekkaman Blade says something like, "Tekkaman, da to?" which is him going something along the lines of "Another Tekkaman?" or "You're a Tekkaman too?" One of his victory quotes (either against Tekkaman or Zero, I forget which one; he has specific quotes for both) has him say "Uchuu no Kishi!", which is a Title Drop for his series (Uchuu no Kishi Tekkaman Bureido; i.e. Space Knight Tekkaman Blade). And of course, some of Blade's other yells ("Tekkaman Bureido!" "Teksettaaa!" "VOLTEKKAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!") are Gratuitous English.
Likewise, Karas drops the word oni (demon) in his intro with Soki, meaning that (as a Karas) he's singling out Soki due to his demon blood (hence their rivalry). Ippatsuman also has some words for Doronjo and her crew, mainly as a Mythology Gag to Ippatsuman's main villains being a trio that looks like Doronjo and her cronies (it's implied that they're intentional expies or even related).
Most of Morrigan's quotes should be the same (and her quotes have been translated more than a few times), seeing as it's just Yayoi Jinguji actually revoicing the character instead of re-using her old audio from the first Darkstalkers.
Ah, the beginning of stuff not being reused for Morrigan.
I swear, Joe the Condor says something that sounds like "RAINBOW THROUGH!"
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIt was one of his kick specials, I believe. I'm not sure, though. I didn't play as Joe that much.
I play as Joe all the time...Viewtiful Joe, anyway; can't pull of Condor Joe's air combos, for some reason.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Gah! I hate lag, my Casshern couldn't do anything I told him to. In fact, he was basically doing random moves (pulling out his LV.3 when I actually entered his Electric Punch Lv.1 Hyper being one of many).
Anyway, I've been meaning to use Yatterman No.2 more, as I think her tricks are fun to use, but I can't figure out a proper partner for her (besides Chun-li, who works quite well).
Does anybody have any tips concerning Yatterman No.2?
Would you consider yourself good with #2, or do you need help?
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit! Not good, no, since I've only started using her recently, and in the few decent matches I've had with her online she ended up facing Tekkaman (who is the bane of several low-health characters)
I get that she's supposed to be a mix-up&rushdown type of character, but I still haven't got the hang of any safe approach. As I'm typing this, I just considered using Polymar as an assist to help, maybe I should try that.
Oh Volnutt/Morrigan, I really should return to your game. Also, Ippatsuman and Blade.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIppatsuman works well with the surprisingly good Ryu too.
Man, I'm finding out quickly that Frank's attacks need assists often due to Frank having slow-to-activate attacks. In hindsight, that's pretty funny when you remember that this version of Frank is the one from the only Dead Rising game w/o any multiplayer whatsoever.
Also, with TVC bringing 2-man teams back, they totally missed an opportunity to bring back MVC 1's Team Hyper Combo finishes getting fusion names like "SHINKUU MEGA BUSTER" or "DESPERADO VOLTEKKA". Actually, I'll start seeing what THCs have good sounding fusion names.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!FINAL REVERSER BREAKER sounds cool enough on its own.
I still intend to play eventually. But first will probably come more Steam gaming. NBA 2k12, Mirrors Edge, Psychonauts, Team Fortress 2, and such.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyHere's some MVC 1-esque THC names:
Viewtiful Joe/Chun-Li - MACH SPEED KIKOSHO
Casshan/Joe - BRUTAL BIRD MISSILES
Frank/Ryu - (THE) REAL HADOUKEN
That's all I can think of without actually booting the game up, I'll probably get some more out later.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Soki/Tekkaman Blade: SWORD OF VOLTEKKAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Karas/Ippatsuman: ZAN'EI BREAKER
Morrigan/Yatterman-2: VALKYRIE PASSION
Ken the Eagle/Karas: SCIENCE NINPO: SHIRANUI
Saki/Joe the Condor: POSITRON MAGNUM
Jun the Swan/Morrigan: MIRAGE SHOWER
Jun the Swan/Polymar: TALON DRILL
Joe the Condor/Roll: BIRD MISSILE TURBO
Casshern/Ippatsuman: BRUTAL GRAND SLAM
MACHINE GUN SUPER VOLTEKKA!
So Casshern is on Toonami / Adult Swim right now, which is making me want to play this game. I won't have the chance for a couple weeks, though.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIt's too bad that a) Capcom couldn't get the original themes licensed for UAS (an acceptable tradeoff seeing as they managed to bring the game over here in the first place) and b) the Casshern in the game was the original version and not the Sins incarnation. I would have loved to hear an instrumental of "Aoi Hana" as his theme.
Man, I should really dust off my copy of TvC between my bouts of UMvC3 every now and then.
I'm still waiting for TVC 2.
I know too many fighters at once would be bad, but that doesn't me I wouldn't play them.
And besides, TVC 2 probably wouldn't get screwed over localization-wise for Hakushon.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Hmm, sorry for the necro, but i'm trying to think of a way to raise awareness for a TVC 2. It's most likely too late for game sales to pick back up, but maybe a Twitter campaign like what PS All Stars is doing with trying to get Activision to notice the demand for Crash DLC might trigger something.
Also, like X said on the UMVC 3 thread, bringing back MVC 1's helper system would be a good way to represent characters that can't quite be given a full moveset, like Speed.

I'm still waiting for my Nintendo vs. Capcom, dammit.
