Ign gave Tatsunoko vs. Capcom a 9.0 (and it's not even a first person shooter!)
The sad, REAL American dichotomyMan, Ryu's part of, like, every superhero organization ever!
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. Not the Justice League. You need Liu Kang for that.
Bumpity bump.
Got the game today, and am lovin' it. I find Roll especially amusing for some reason. I probably should have used her to take down Yami instead of Legends!Megaman. That would have been extra funny.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!Haven't had a chance to get it yet, but I'll probably do it either tomorrow or on Saturday. Got a $40 gift card callin' my name, too.
Man, between this, The Sky Crawlers, and Red Steel 2 next month, my Wii game time is booked SOLID.

While I was out shopping yesterday, I was unable to find Sky Crawlers on the Wii shelves. Looks like I'll have to hit up Amazon.com for this game.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!Sky Crawlers is highly recommended. The first mission is a pushover, but the rest of the game is totally awesome. Even though the airplanes are only WWII-era-ish tech, you end up feeling like you're a badass pilot. And the mission variety keeps things from getting stale.
Tried to get Tatsunoko vs. Capcom today, but the store was out. Will try again over the weekend.

My copy was just shipped by amazon. Only decideing to get it because a:It was on sale ($3 off plus $10 off my next purchase) b:ordering a few other games from Amazon as well.
Picked mine up yesterday (only just released in Australia). Much fun. Though personally I much prefer the Smash Bros. like 'simple' control scheme for the Remote + Nunchuck combo. Gives me a hope in hell of actually pulling off Hyper Combos.
Welcome to the Sea of ChaosGot the game on the release date. As I had played the original (Until my Wii messed up), it's no surprise I would enjoy the re-release.
Currently unlocked everyone but Yatterman-2 and only because I'm too lazy to beat the game with Frank and Joe the Condor.
One of my minor problems with this game is the music. I rather preferred the C Go H version of Across The Border and the lack of character themes make me a sad panda.
But like I said, really minor problem I had. Plus I found some of the new songs catchy (Orbital Station for one). Gameplay is as enjoyable as ever. Trying to learn to really play as Zero and Alex. Found it really easy to combo with Zero too.
All in all, probably worth my money. Wish my brother would actually take me up on playing with me though.
Finally snagged a copy this afternoon; it ws the second-to-last one on the shelf, which I hope means brisk sales for the title.
Only played it briefly with my son so far, but I find it encouraging that he was able to have himself a lot of fun doing insanely wild supermoves with just three buttons and no knowledge of any of the characters or any Street Fighter mechanics whatsoever...

Ok, my copy arrived and I have started playing for a bit.
After trying a few character combos, I seem decent with Kaijin No Soki+Saki and managed to beat arcade mode on default difficulty and no continues with them.

Arcade mode isn't too hard; if you have characters with projectile attacks, you can win with halfway decent blocking.
Playing with the Wii remote is easier/fun, but the diagonals are hard to pull off and it hurts my hands after a while. I've got to switch to the Classic controller.
My online experience has been a little mixed. I can find matches easily enough and the lag is nearly nonexistent, but a lot of times I'm paired against opponents who are a lot higher than me. Wonder if it's a bug in the code or I just need to play more and build a (meager) rep first.
Still, insanely awesome fun. My son went from "What's 'Street Fighter'?" to "Oooh, I wanna play again!" inside of an hour.

True. I am sure a human play would be able to figure out how to jump over projectile spam. Off to play vs mode.

What's the online situation like? once I get it, anyone want to fight?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyOnline's been great for me so far. Only problem is that I have no idea when I'm available to play online, so coordinating matchups is dicey at best. But the times I've gone online, I've never had any problems.

I started playing Cross Generation of Heroes AC since March 2009, and from there, my 1st-all Capcom team consisted of Roll/Megaman Trigger, as my 1st-all Tatsunoko team was Yatterman-1 and Tekkaman (yes, I do scream "SPACE LANCE!" every time I play as Tekkaman and use his SPACE LANCE projectile).
Yes, I main Roll to taunt my opponents with, "Dude, you got your ass kicked by a little girl!" right after I win with her.
Could anyone with UAS tell me how Frank, Viewtiful Joe, and Ot- I mean Karas play like. trying to get a ride to Game Stop to get a copy. Also, do is there a friend code system for playing with a friend? Also, Volnutt from Mega Man Legends? His play style, I Mean.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit! You can use Friend Codes to play with friends; you can also add strangers you meet to your "Rivals" list, so you can play them in the future. You can also do random matches against total strangers or ranked opponents (folks of a similar skill level to yours).
—R.J.
Well, that's easy to get behind!
Could anyone tell me if a team of Frank & Viewtiful Joe is as Crazy Awesome and Made Of Win as they say?

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Quick question: Can you combo Mach Speed with Real Mega-Buster, or is Mach Speed only a cinematic hyper?
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!I bought it. I'll have more time to play after my second round of mid-terms. I'm also still learning.
Yami is a cheap son of a f*ck. Maybe I haven't learned how to beat it yet.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYami's a pretty easy pushover. Just block effectively and attack when you get a chance. Projectile characters are the easiest.
—R.J.
Now that I've gotten a bit more experience, I'm more used to beam spamming or using Gatchaman characters against him. Ken destroys him.
that move where his third form grabs you, throws you and shoots a laser is killer though. How do I avoid it?
I dislike Jun the Swan's ending choices - Get back to Kitchen and fail at it, or try to stay a superhero and only then will her teammates reveal they can see her underwear.

The sad, REAL American dichotomy
"Why does Capcom always pick fights with other companies? What a bunch of jerks!"
It's too bad Youtube comments don't make for good page quotes.
