My main question is, why is the hooded figure asking where she is - Elliot's still male a majority of the time.

Elliot is, but that's not who the hooded figure is looking for. She merely believes Elliot knows where her target is.

I think "spooky" is Shive's new favorite word for the supernatural. It was an odd choice of phrasing back when it was just Charlotte doing it, but now it's catching on with the rest of his characters.

I just assume Shive to draw Noah as a super pretty lady and didn't put any more thought into it than that.

But I'm sure a rant or Tumblr post will spend hours explaining the exacting dynamic, before ending on an anti-climatic point that makes us all wonder why we put any effort into questioning it in the first place.

Gendered clothing conventions are arbitrary and dumb. Stick it to The Man, Noah.

Yeah, but tops that cling to the sides of the arms instead of hanging from the shoulders (either via straps or being fully tailored) are also dumb. Down with gendered clothing, but down with poorly tailored clothing, too!

As I commented on the Crystal Hall forums, other than the eyelashes, it looks more like Noah's usual shirt is huge on him (the wide blousy neck has fallen around his shoulders and the shirt-tale almost completely covers the top of his pants). Maybe they've been taking a nip at the Shrink Soda?

It's not terribly surprising that the sibling topic hasn't come up in conversation yet. Though Ashley would probably be less surprised that Ellen knew about Elliot's abilities if Ashley had been told.

Also, nice to see that Ellen still shares some traits with Elliot - namely, his deer-in-headlights look.

If by disobeying Elliot Ashley gets attacked or something, I'm going to facepalm.

Also, Noah's face in panel 2 looks kinda odd.

Huh... odd stylistic choice I just noted. It took me three reads of today's strip to notice that panel 5 suddenly introduces shading (mostly around the hairline). I... have absolutely no idea why Shive added that there.

Panel 4 actually, anime/manga visual trope used to represent the character is ill/gloomy/having a generally negative response that isn't covered under anger or sadness. Usually the shaded area is accompanied by vertical lines.

Aye, were this colour, she'd be blue.

He's what

His error was make it too subtle. This size worked when it was colored, as the blue stands out enough. But on gray scale, it is easily mistakable for shadowing.
