As a side note, plenty of places don't have tornado sirens. In fact, I only went to one school that did, when I lived in western Pennsylvania for a year and a half. Of course, that said, I also spent three and a half years going to schools where they had hurricane sirens (southern Florida, woo), so it's not like I'm completely unfamiliar with the concept. But yeah, places where tornadoes almost never form also almost never have tornado sirens.

Why the hell does ditzy count as a mental effect that won't change you, but having the mentality of a dog is fine?

I'm assuming that she's willingly acting that way? Maybe? I dunno, I just kind of wish Shive would have either had Susan act ditzy or give her different cards that wouldn't lead to this.

Rhoda's only acting doglike with her girlfriend, so she might just be playing around. She breaks Dog Character in the first panel of this strip to display shock with the others.

I suspect the ditzy thing was originally planned to be straightforward but then Dan had a reality check. To be fair, Hanma probably shouldn't have the power to modify personality too much. Lest she is forced to watch some Joss Whedon shows afterwards.

Yeah this was kind of inevitable. My reaction is the same as Rhoda and Catalina: Susan not being Susan is a terrifying possibility only approachable via the Diane vector.

I also thought the siren thing was a weird mashup. And I was thinking that we don't have tornado sirens, just the ocean ones.

I've been mentally using the wrong definition of sirens for this strip/conversation. Which is weird since I think they're spelt differently.

Technically, it's not quite clear yet, and I'm extrapolating. Still, I think Sirleck is about to have an Oh, Crap! moment.

One thing that confuses me about the current arc is how Voltaire's Plan Complete Mess fits in with this arc. Given that one of his goals seems to be to prevent Magus's resurrection, I'm not sure how Plan Complete Mess actually accomplishes it. (It's possible that it caused the Feds to start worrying about the Dewitchery Diamond and move it to an undisclosed location, which would be convoluted enough to fit with it being Plan Complete Mess.)

His target is raven. the Complicated mess plan involves a Sirleck possessed Magus unloading magic power at previously mentioned target.

Yeah. Voltaire's plan isn't complex at all. Step one is that loads of magical force are poured down Raven's throat until he explodes, and then there are no more steps.

It's just that Magus's complicated mess of a plot has to be untangled first.

Also, I as well think that what Sirleck felt was Ellen getting pissed off about the manipulations that went into creating her. If you'll recall, she doesn't actually appreciate being brought into existence.

@Mr AHR: Wait, what Retcon are you referring to in that page?

Magus had not been introduced at that point, so the original arc had it just be a combination of the prototype TF gun malfunctioning at the worst possible time, them being desperate for a solution, and not knowing precisely how the Dewitchery Diamond worked.
