I feel like I want to mentally put together a Pokemon party, even though I haven't played the main games since Generation I. :/ Though I wouldn't have any legendaries, so at least that would diminish my choices by maybe...50?

I dunno, a well-balanced team, lot of types, ones that'll really show off my personality...I wonder where I can do that?

...and another one of my female friends is complaining that her boyfriend is playing Black Ops.

I just started reading Cardcaptor Sakura on a site, and I'm near the end of the first volume, and gosh this is making me nostalgic of Cardcaptors. I'm reading the chapters concerning the illusion card and it just keeps reminding me of the episode in the show concerning these characters. It's making me want to watch it again, but mostly because I want to be reminded of what Kero and Syaoran sounded like in the dub. I've got an old recorded video somewhere around. It ran out of tape in the middle of an episode. I don't think the episode I'm talking about was taped. We've also got the first pokemon movie (that's the first one with mewtwo, right?) taped too.

Wish I could watch both those tapes, but don't have a VCR plugged in. Got one, but it's not plugged in.

EDIT: Okay, youtube is awesome. Don't really like how sakura sounds (sounds too old for the character) but I think Kero sounds awesome.

I am beginning to think that doctors shouldn't watch medical shows, soldiers shouldn't read military fiction, and lawyers shouldn't watch courtroom movies.

Scientists reading science fiction was what ruined the genre, after all.

What about people who read books reading books about people who read books?

She means that there won't be any series of forensics written by forensics any time soon.

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

Unfortunately.

That trope is very annoying, and as people become more used to technology, more and more inexcusable by the day.

Oh, it's okay when they're written by these people. Just not when it's written for these people.

Otherwise, saying scientists ruined science fiction wouldn't make much sense, since one of the Big Three was a biochemist.

Yeah, well, The Wire was written by people from Ballymore for people from Ballymore, yo. And it's the greatest show of all time. Fo' sho.

I once said how Protestantism was very different from other denominations and religions in that it's much more personal, that one doesn't need an intermediary in the form of a priest to gain contact with Heaven.

It's true, in a certain way. The problem is that most Protestants don't really understand that they're too reliant on the pastor and/or the priest. They still feed from his words, they still drink his truth and his truth alone, they still take his interpretation of scripture over their own. I realize that all converts need guidance, but shouldn't the goal be that one finds the right way and goes forth by themselves?

And that's...terrible I guess? Eh life goes on.

Good point.

I guess that's man in general. If we didn't do something, it's probably because we were told not to do it by likely the same people.

One of my friends posts, every day, on his best friend's Facebook page, a blog post about what he did that day. (As in, "I did this in 1st period, I did this in 2nd period", and so on.)

It's pretty Narmy, but eh, what can I do about it.

So far, WordPress is high tier, and Tumblr is low tier.

Though once I break my Tumblr hiatus I may pop in once in a while, just not post as often.

*wishes Tumblr could auto-import posts via RSS or something, but knowing its idiot staff they won't*
