Victoria Coren has one, but it's really highbrow and not so much with the comedy. (although that might just be me being stupid)
Bloody autocorrect, why would iylt correct shouldn't to should!
Yeah I agree that the BBC doesn't interfere enough. But thankfull for the panel show mandate.
Hoping for an improvement when Sandi Toksvig takes over QI next year. I would've sooner seen Alan replaced, but so it goes.
Fresh-eyed movie blogWait, seriously? Okay, that's pretty cool.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Yes, Stephen is retiring from the show after 13 series.
Fresh-eyed movie blogQI is probably one of the best anyway, seeing as it once managed to have only a single strait man (Alan) on it, with the three guests being women and two of the women being gay, the best bit was there wa no focus on it, the episode just happened to being majority women and majority LGBT.
QI does repeate guests a lot, I suspect that with women panellists it's simply even more of a thing due to an even small pool being available for them to draw from.
As for the interview, I just found the quotes on his IMDB page, I'd say look up the cast for Under the Lake and then follow the cast list to his page.
The News Quiz was good when Sandi lead it, as they'd normally have a female guest meaning they had 2 women, but year the big issue is that you've normally got a host plus 1-2 team captains, and thouse three are often all male due to them having been picked before the push for representation relay got going.
Also the new show about different people that share the same name has a female host, I can't remember the shows name though.

“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranI think it's Insert Name Here? It's pretty funny and hosted by sue perkins.
The internet is a waste of time, and that's exactly what's right about it-William GibsonThat's the one.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranQi has an advantage in that they don't just pull from comedians for their guests.
The team captains having had their position before the representation push will probably hinder representation for a long time in BBC panel shows. It's such a low effort job it's hard to justify leaving it.
I dunno that I'd call not having to bring in female comedians an advantage?
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. But QI has at least one female guest either way.
Most panel shows don't trade exclusively in comedians. They have journalists, TV presenters etc as well.
Also, to make this post on-topic, I just found this on the Rani's TARDIS Wki page:
I love this.
Time Tots, coming to CBBC this fall!
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. How much do we know about Class? I'm hoping it can quench my thirst and fill the void that DW is leaving behind this year.
Also anyone know where I can find the Sarah Jane Adventures legally or otherwise (PM me in the case of the latter)? I've heard good things about it and I'm looking to check it out.
Maybe cool podcasts can fill the void in your life
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYessss
Cool podcasts
Listen to them
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I'd be happy to offer suggestion
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'd say that QI actually has a more restrictive guest pool, it doesn't tend to pool politicians (like HIGNFY does), musicians (like Buzzcocks) or members of the press (again like HIGNFY), it's pretty much stuck with comedians and celebrities.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranSorry to ask, but what's QI?
Edutainment comedy show for adults styled after a game show, hosted by Stephen Fry since 2003. Very big in the UK.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Ah.
...Who's Stephen Fry?
Um...Mycroft in those Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes movies? Master of Lake-town in the Hobbit films? The Voice of the Book in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie? (Fine, "The Guide/Narrator" according to the credits, but fuck off, movie, the role is called "The Voice of the Book".)
Jeeves in Jeeves and Wooster?
One of River Song's spouses, according to the Doctor?
I dunno, just Google him, you're bound to have seen him in something.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. He's considered a major British icon, but I've just realised I have no idea why.
He's a brilliant writer and comedian. Skilled in several languages. Geeky. Gay.
I think QI's main pool to draw on besides comedians is scientists. And Rev. Coles, who's not just any Vicar.
Fresh-eyed movie blog
I would say that the rule really should be that half the panel should be women, but I realize that most of these shows have fairly entrenched recurrent panelists so you'd either end up with way more people than you need or removing somebody's favorite part of the program.
Perhaps they should just start commissioning more female-led panel shows.
