If there was a Rani plot, I'd like for the Doctor to solve it and then she reveals that she had a secondary experiment running just in case the Doctor intervened so she lost 'stupid ridiculous science 1' but the Doctor went ahead and proved 'stupid ridiculous science 2' for her.
"I'll mention you in the citations, dear. TOODLES"
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI've sorta had the theory that the Master was Susan's Grandmother. Just because.
And that the Master and the War Chief were the same person. Again, just because.
I think the EU would be a better place if I was running it. There'd be more Faction Paradox. And there would be more orgies involving the Brigadier.
I mean, I certainly find the way in which this thread has become a secondary comment section of my blog an entertaining ego rush, but yes, I do sometimes wonder.
I would suggest that, in a sort of "how online communities work" way, that any thread that's reached page 3399 has stopped being a discussion of any one thing and started being a community based on a shared interest.
Not unlike the plot of Love and Monsters.
I mean, I'm not sure the series needs two scheming villains with rubbish beards that dress all in black, want to rule the universe, have some deep history with the Doctor, and have most of their onscreen evil plans consist of allying with some species or organization that also wants to control the universe, whom they attempt to betray.
Now that you mention it, we could stand to do some more dancing around here.
And I regard the lack of rubbish monster so far to be a good sign.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHey, from what I've seen, this thread isn't nearly as bad as the MSPA thread can get.
Oh God! Natural light!Once you get past all of the blood orgies and high-spirited debates about symbolism its a pretty chill place that sometimes even talks about Homestuck.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersOn the topic of that and Love and Monsters
Doesn't that kind of elevate him?
Villain is a lot more impressive than sad sack
People like daleks and cybermen inexplicably
Its a close thing that the absorbaloff design was so awful otherwise Levine-expy might have become RECURRING

Umm...do Daleks need an excuse? Wasn't that the plan, "Kill everything that isn't a Dalek"?
Oh God! Natural light!I think I actually tend to love Jack Graham more when he vehemently despises things I hold dear.
It does seem to be part of his thing.
Fresh-eyed movie blogHow much hate can be contained in one man?
Oh God! Natural light!Bad news guys. Gonna have to cancel Sunday's game. Between the amount of schoolwork I have to do, the Yom Kippur ceremonies, and the fact that I'll be taking an hour-and-a-half bus ride back up to school at 5 on Sunday, it's simply not doable. I'm really sorry.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. That's fine with me. I've been wanting to do the local Ren faire on Saturday but Sunday may well be better for anyone coming with me.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI think that's been linked here before. I distinctly remember reading it back in June on my phone on the way to a summer class.
Still funny, though.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. It got mentioned on Verity but they couldn't remember the title, so I linked them to it.
Fresh-eyed movie blogJack Graham mouths off about soldiers without ever talking to any of them. Or being one, or having been one. He's a prat and a fool. He would have been an ideal member of Stalin's "useful idiots". And I would rather not be led to an article on his site without warning of what I'm clicking on to.
How do you know he hasn't talked to any of them?
Oh God! Natural light! It's made fairly obvious by what he wrote in that diatribe he did for "Into the Dalek". In his mind all soldiers are SS Truppen, all itching to do another Ourador or Lidice. I would say he's a typical Marxist but that would be just aiming at the surface of the man. And that's all the time I want to waste on him, thanks very much.
True.
