One question I have about the Reichenbach Fall: why did those kids freak out when Sherlock came in? Just what did Moriarity do to them?

It was only one kid who reacted IIRC (I think the other one was in the hospital? I haven't watched the episode recently) and there are a couple different theories about why she reacted, one being that she was reacting to his coat. Maybe Moriarty had a curly black haired person wear a similar outfit while kidnapping them? She looks up, immediately sees someone with curly black hair and coat, like whoever kidnapped them, and so screams. There's also a theory that she was actually reacting to John, or the sound of Sherlock's voice
I think I read a fic once where the child asked to speak to one of the cops or John later and told them that Sherlock hadn't kidnapped them, but the guy who did was wearing a similar scarf, and that was what she was reacting to.
You know. I'm not really very interested in Faction Paradox. But I kinda want This Town Will Never Let Us Go. Just because the title is kinda funny, really. I like the title.
