Well, at least not that many people died.

Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Tangent128: I'm surprised too! Thought for sure the cat burglar was gonna be eaten.
Anyway, my thoughts on this episode are on the recap page. Maybe I will make them an actual recap at some point.
ETA: Patrick Stewart has been cast, and he's going to be playing The Meddling Monk. Source.

Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuAh, I think that's one of The Sun's misses.
On The Doctor Who Forum, if you go to the Enlightment section on "The Ribos Operation", there's a brilliant Television Without Pity-style recap of the first two episodes. I'll ask if we can post it here.
I have been hearing about Doctor Who for quite a while and have finally gotten myself to read the article on it. I was rather surprised to find it sounded like something I might like. Unfortunately, I cannot find anywhere to watch the episodes without being destroyed by malware.
The BBC website will not allow me to access any episodes. Is there anywhere I can watch it?
Unfortunately, the DVD's are ridiculously overpriced, but they are still good.
So, has anyone watched the new episodes? Any good?
An useless name, a forsaken connection.Mixed quality, but mainly very good.

I hope they get to Canada ASAP!
There isn't a new season. They've just been doing occasional specials this year. The next proper season isn't until 2010.

Ladies and gentlemen, the first companion for Matt Smith.
No, we don't know what her character is called.
Cute!
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyYeah! :D
It's so weird. Moffat seems to be deliberately avoiding big names.

Definitely.
Other people have said this... do Matt Smith and Karen Gillan remind you of a certain sparkly vampire and his missus?
Not remotely.
Now you mention it, I suppose there is a very slight resemblance between Karen Gillan and Kristen Stewart, but Matt Smith and Robert Pattinson look nothing alike.

It's the opposite for me. I think Matt Smith is really reminiscent of Robert Pattinson, but Karen Gillan doesn't remind me of Kristen Stewart at all. I see what you're talking about Silent Hunter.

Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuDo you think that these two will be trust together as star crossed lovers. I really hope not. I was really happy with the Doctor and Donna's banter last season, I would hate for it to become all swoony again.

You know, looking at images of Doctor Eleven and that red-headed chick who is trying to get in my way, I think this series may have some potential to break out.
Humpability being the huge factor that it is.
Dump the networks!I don't follow you. What do you mean by break out? It's already one of the most popular shows in the country. Or do you mean worldwide?
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffYes, worldwide. No disrespect to the GB market is intended.
Dump the networks!Fair enough, I figured that might be what you meant, I just wasn't sure.
(B-b-b-but David Tennant and Freema Agyeman...)
