Hold on.

Did that do it? We were wondering if the tower was a significant part of the castle, but the castle needs a massive jolt of electricity. If the tower counts as the castle then maybe it just got one.

Well, next you have to find a place to zap DK where he can *collect* the energy, if every bit was wired for collection, then the observation tower should have absorbed this zap instead of crumbling. Agatha doesn't want to collapse him after all! I think someone suggested the weathervanes, that might work. I wonder if he has a proper lightning rod somewhere?

Hmm. Van may be just the one to know, surely where DK's lightning collection point is located would be something passed down the line of seneschals.

[up]Ohh, I like your idea Michael, maybe it did work and the next page will be DK BOOMING INSTRUCTIONS! Whether to Agatha or the Wulfenbach forces, either would be believable. This comic does like to have Agatha ride a rollercoaster.

If we're second guessing the effect of Agatha's zapstick, then she probably needs to step it down a notch or two. What DK needs, I should think, is a slower, more continuous feed of power, not a destructive bolt of doom. I could be wrong.

I expect it needs lightning directed at the lightning rods, not a zappy death ray directed at the lower levels of its parts.

Still, I can imagine it booming Ouch! Yes, My Lady, I'm here!

I sure hope so. I'm really not looking forward to the Baron driving the residents of Mechanixburg out and leveling the city just so Our Team can go to Paris.

Edit: Stupid musing but I am thinking that we are missing a Blazing Inferno Hellfire Sauce gag in girl genius but considering this thought: What kind of Scoville rating would a Spark made Sauce have?

It curled into a little ball and tried to shake, too, when that didn't work. [lol]

[up][up]We have had Ocean in a bottle, our gargle blaster special feature and given that Dumedd has the tasty chemist trait so it is up to give the ideas to the Foglios and it could be Gil using the Blazing Inferno Hellfire Sauce to escape (proven by myth busters).

And yes I admit I tend to make a lot of accidental nightmare fuel when I'm busted with all the work.

Edit: Seems that I need to be asleep for the update to go online so I'll head to bed in 10.

Oh, love it. That spikey voice could be one of the GGGGParents?

Someone on LJ has a better idea, Franz! Yes, much better, the GGGParents have the ornate font as well as drippy bubbles. Franz doesn't always drip, but did when talking to DK at the Doom Bell Tower; and that sounds like his phrasing too.

Seems like Tarvek doesn't want to fly again, even though he did get it working last time... Too bad, I'm quite sure that plane is a gun and will be fired at some point. Othar is redundant. [lol]

My dear Seneschal, don't make suggestions to your Heterodyne if you don't want them taken seriously. Tsk. Ask Gkika about how to manage Heterodynes, she's got more experience than you do.

Well, it would be lovely if the spiky voice were Franz' but given the expression Agatha's face, I don't think so. Something tells me it's a much creepier being than our lovable ol' dragon. One can hardly wait for Friday . . . Muwahahahahahaaaa . . .

The fella with the flying monkeys? Or maybe she missed seeing his wings and didn't realize he could fly? Or Sir Dragon?

Oh. If that speech bubble indicates a certain coldness to the tone, could it be Zola in the flying coat?

Yeah, that voicebox is literally dripping venom... who, I wonder?

If Von Pinn / Otilla hadn't pulled a Neutral-Face turn, I'd've figured her somehow. Zola's a possibility, but something about Zola pulling that move right now just doesn't make sense. Plus, Agatha seems more run-of-the-mill stunned rather than hostile-incoming stunned.

I'm thinking that the dripping shape indicates someone from the crypt; the modern font indicates someone of a more recent generation. It would be too long a stretch for it to be Barry, and she doesn't know what Bill looks like.

What other person deceased in the last two generations might have the skill to take someone flying?

It surely couldn't be Klaus, could it? We've seen his speech bubble drip.

Meh... I need more that a chilly, dripping bubble and a font to go on! Not a happy mad theorist. tongue

But, I'd bet on somebody out the crypt, too. That bubble looks like their general style (save for the font). Or, just a normal construct having a bad day. <shrugs> Bah: too many choices. tongue

Here's Klaus with his bubble dripping. I don't think Wooster could manage that dripping tone.

If Klaus is there, it's a probable twelve to seven that it's in one of Gil's heavier-than-air machines with Gil piloting.

I am going to guess that the voice is one of the two flying sparks who sought asylum at the top of the tower. The question is whether Agatha is being borne aloft by aeroapes or by a beautiful claw.

Well, it could be Mezzasalma-and-Mittelmind, I guess. <looks dubious> Those two have managed to do freaky speech bubbles before now...

But, unless both or either have been hiding rotor blades in their various add ons, I don't think so. tongue

Wild speculation: the Heterodyne vampire!

My first reaction was one of the other Knights of Jove, but it's hard to imagine the drippy word bubble coming out of a machine. I don't think it could be the beautiful claw guy either, he's too shouty. Professor Senear maybe.

We've been missing Zeetha and Higgs for a while. Who knows what they may have dug up by now? Surely Higgs has something in motion.
