I hope so.
I wonder... did anybody remember to add insulation to the observation deck of the Tower?
Not Moloch's day. Anybody else expecting a scene change on Monday, at least briefly?
I do like the phrase "hopeful shouting." My children do that all the time.

Actually I am a rocket wizard. It does have a good ring, doesn't it? Active denial... of the loud kind.
Is it me or they re-uploaded an old page on the main site?
Edit: It was fixed a small time after I posted this...
A very romantic case of lightning in the observation post as noted by someone we know seems to be an important point here...

Well here goes nothingSometimes if I try the sneaky gate an old page will get stuck in the cache, so I have to refresh a couple times when the page goes up.
Shock and DaaaaaaaaaaawwwSo, we have the zappy stick— but I don't see the Heterodyne Sphere yet. I think it's important.
Re: Tweedle, ok I'm dialling back from my previous identification of him as a Lord Rust subtype, and thinking more one of the annoying idiots so common in Heyer.
My current thesis suggests that Tarvek & Kastle end up covering for the retreat of Agatha and Moloch, once Agatha is convinced that what the Baron is really after is *her* and he will be distracted once he realizes she isn't there.
P.S. eye candy in the first panel. :)
Rikalous ah thanks for pointing that out. Good eyes. Still I think I agree with Ol Bear. The abbess has a strange way of looking at things. I still have not figured out exactly where she is coming from. I'll be disappointed if she is just a K o J plant to help further the conspiracy. She seems so much madder than that.
Levity is what keeps airships afloat. Everything else is just ballast. So we are gathering Agatha's core crew again, Tarvek, Moloch, and Da Boyz. Zeetha is probably around too, though we haven't seen her in panel, she wouldn't abandon Agatha. Shall we run into Violetta on the way to the Observation Tower?
I do like Moloch grilling Agatha about her intentions, and his clear intention to stop her if she tries anything really crazy. He's not happy about the tower, but he can see that might work, versus certain failure if she tries to do the zapping now. Moloch's value is being an extra dose of sanity when Agatha goes to the Madness Place. You know, that may really make him much more than a minion, most of whom simply play follow the leader. Could you see Snaug for instance, prepared to take a toy away from Mittlemind if she thought it was too dangerous?
Is there something obvious I'm missing about height being necessary? Gil used the zappy stick from the ground. Is there some particular point of DK that has to be hit for it to work? Given the power of lightning, it seems unreasonable to worry about the power loss from even a couple hundred of feet of extra air.
And yes, nice eyecandy for everyone in the first panel.
ETA: Ooh! Tarvek & Agatha on the Tower with lightning, and we have an expert opinion on the romance of that situation.

Agatha needs to be in the tower because the Heterodyne globe isn't around. I suspect that Gil's generators aren't "fully armed and operational", yet, so the need for height is to better attract real lightning. The Zappy stick is merely the igniter. The lightning from the storm will follow it's path back down to earth and the lightning rod on the tower which, we will find, is directly linked to the batteries in the basement. Agatha will fire, the storm will respond and the next thing we get is Der Kestle saying something along the lines of "Thanx! I needed that."
If it moves, eat it!For one thing, lightning heads for any number of attractive targents. Why diffuse the effectiveness of the strike by having it electrocute all of the Paladins and anybody wearing a pickelhaub (Dimo)?
Yes, of course. Snaug is a 'mere' minion and Moloch is The Chief Minion. Both privates and Command Sergeant Majors are enlisted ranks but woe betide the fool who thinks they are anywhere near the same. And that applies especially to second leutenents.
If it moves, eat it!I know sparks tend to sneer at mundane physics, but Agatha's hair seems remarkably resilient to the downpour she's walking around in. Others, too, but it's most obvious with her. Does she shampoo with Scotch Guard or something?
All your safe space are belong to TrumpSergeants. So not minions, definitely not lackeys.

Shock and DaaaaaaaaaaawwwI've lost track of this thread recently, but has it been discussed that Tock is in the Baron's army in page from a few weeks ago? Evidently it's been repaired.

<><There was a brief mention in passing, but you know... there's no racial limits on offers to recruits....
As an aside, since I don't have to be quite so coy about it here:
The World of Steam Kickstarter — as postered by CHEYENNE WRIGHT! Take a look at their video, the project looks mindblowingly awesome.
Just imagine if they got licensed by Studio Foglio....
There, all logged in again. We just got a new computer and I'm having to re-log-in to all my favorite sites. Tedious!
If it moves, eat it!Argh — and transfer stuff across. Like fonts and favourite software. You have my sympathies. At least, these days, it's a lot easier. (Remembers epic battles renewing everything when... Windows 95 and ME bit the dust. Again. And, again: back-up CDs and full-scale reinstalls? Darned tedious.)

We also have a storm, lightning, a zappy stick, an observation tower...
And someone due to die in the foreseeable future.
Yes. I worry. I do, I do.
Mostly Harmless.Seems you are guessing the Foglios are aiming to kill Tarvek... again.
Well here goes nothingI think too much work has been put into Tarvek for him to be in danger, but certainly a large jolt of lightning could be how someone dies. It just doesn't work to kill him rather than have him continue to be Gil's rival, it would make so much of the plot go limp.
I still think Klaus or Hippogrif's suggestion of Zoing are the most likely.
We do know that Gil, Moloch and Agatha are safe.
I'm a bit concerned with the idea of all three of Da Boyz going up the tower with Agatha. I'd sure hate to lose one or more of them!

If it moves, eat it!Sudden, unexpected plot twist! Agatha dies, the rest of the story is about Gil and Tarvek learning to cope and try and stop the Other in her name.

I wonder if Gil waterproofed his zappy stick.
