Tarvek, of all people, would not be commenting about the weapon-melting while Tweedle is marching triumphantly through the streets, so, yeah, I'd say we've gone back in time a bit.
http://www.mansionofe.comThe "meanwhile" at the top of the first panel usually indicates an episode that is concurrent with the immediately previous episode.
there's a panel that i don't remember there being where Voltaire is standing over BS in the alarms going off page. So he's still kicking, maybe barely, maybe through Collette's help.
DoodlesAgreed, Tarvek makes that clear with the comment about melted armor. Sorry that I was unclear, I used episode to cover an unspecified number of pages, not just a page, since artists can make episodes (mini-arcs?) of varying sizes.
I see Colette's rear ponytail is back again.
http://www.mansionofe.comI still see Voltaire becoming the 'ghost in the machine' that is Paris. Colette may be in charge once Tweedle waltzes out of town but Daddy will still be deep within to give advice. Hmm, given their interaction at the start of the party, I wonder if Grandma will join him.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!<blinks> Were that to happen, I'd outright pity the likes of Beausoleil trying to hack the system...
Tricky B is unlikely to be around long enough for that to be a problem.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."... I completely missed the 'meanwhile'. >.<
I also was thinking about the Storm King's sword/Archimedes Lever. 'Move the world', indeed. (The thought doesn't quite want to coalesce.)
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThe problem is that Tarvek has been noting the short game more now because he is still catching up and the whole "whoops we offed the real Storm King" has some repercussions that puts enough spanners in several plans that they ran out of them in three hardware shops. You cannot go into mid and long term planning if you don't get some nuances of the now in a crisis.
Well here goes nothingComic for Friday, June 2, 2017: sneaky gate permalink
This is an automated program that checks the Sneaky Gate every 5 minutes. source codeBreakthrough? Breakthrough. Tarvek can be a good friend, for all his faults.
And ironically a Moxana in what I just thought was a sight gag of Colette's hair catching fire. Well Tarvek does care about people that can be considered his friends. General public to a degree but then again I guess you can say that Von Pinn made a good number on him.
Well here goes nothingSo, Voltaire said some time back that he had great hopes for Colette.
...How much did he know?

Huh... I kinda wonder as to what the last word on that bucket is supposed to be. It can't be "fire" - that would read "EN CAS DE FEU," instead of "EN CAS D'..." like we actually see. Unless there's a special in-universe word for a Spark breakthrough, it's not that either ("breakthrough" is "percer"). I mean, if nothing else, I think the comic shows that there's a great many instances where a bucket of water is just the thing you need, particularly with Sparks nearby.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.EN CAS D'ENFER? While the primary translation of "enfer" is "Hell", "inferno" is also valid.
As a French person, I read it as "EN CAS D'INCENDIE".
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."That bucket seems comically small for something you'd call "incendie."
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. It's a Sparky bucket. You'd be amazed at what it can put out.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!In case of danger? I mean, Moloch has done wonders calming Sparks with buckets of water, it doesn't have to be only fire.
Yeah, burned hair reeks.
More seriously, this is total wow territory. And unless this is one of the cases where the narrative timeline backed up a bit, some bit of Voltaire is still kicking.
And I guess they did trip every circuit breaker in the city.
I wonder if Colette is like Sleipnir, Moloch, and Adam -able to deal with a lot of Sparky stuff that most keel over like bowling pins for.
