Oh, the poor, soon-to-be shell-shocked fool...
Haha, nice call, Jerry C.
I wonder of Zeetha could be persuaded to demonstrate some Skifandrian dance rituals. Strictly for academic purposes, mind you.
Oooh, things are going to get interesting. Coffee, and she already has dingbots and a ton of books available.
(I somewhat expect a cut to another scene now... Gil or something, so that we can come back to Agatha in full havoc mode)
Yeah, this would be a good time to cut away.
Gil, Seffie, Geisters... So many options.
I told my kids "Agatha has just asked for coffee". My daughter cracked up and my son said, "You don't give her coffee!"
I find the list of methods of secret writing hilarious. Fancy thing, metaphysical thing, light thing... And one as old as fruit. With acidic commentary on why it shouldn't be used!
That poor, poor assistant...
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI just had to go back and read the coffee house scene again. I do so hope Agatha shows them what a Heterodyne can do when she takes it Up To Eleven
And I'm just here, waiting to see what's next, and sipping my coffee...
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Agatha doesn't take it up to Eleven. Her scale starts at Thirteen and goes up to One Hundred and Thirty.
But here's the question: will the coffee be any good, or will Agatha find it so unsatisfactory that she will construct a device to spittake for twelve solid minutes in disgust on her behalf?

Well, just ask anyone French about the quality of coffee available there. Especially if you're an American asking. You'll hear a lot about the subject.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Nomo: Oh, that's the key! Figures it'd have a fleur de lis.
At some point, the key was with the book. And it can be tracked with a neuralistic singularity detector. Hmm... (Sorry, I'm kinda stuck on this key thing.)
I'm looking forward to seeing Agatha in coffee mode again.
We've seen how Agatha acts when she's hyped up on normal coffee. What would happen if she drank a cup from her own customized coffee machine, before it was toned down?
magic.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartI hadn't even noticed that the key and the book were in the picture I linked◊. Duh.

Hey now, give the coffee shop in Mechanicsburg some credit. That probably wasn't normal coffee even before Agatha Girl Genius'd it.

Yeah, Vandemode(sp?) notes that it's his own personal blend. In the print novel, his grandfather comments they use the leftovers as paint-stripper or somesuch.
It's Vanamonde, but on that subject, could someone tell me why his name is Vanamonde von Mekkhan, but sometimes people call him Heliotrope?

Heliotrope was an alias to hide that the von Mekkhan line did not die out on the night of The Other's attack from the Baron's men.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.@shigmya: it's more likely she'd rebuild the coffee machine like she did in Mechanicsburg -only more so. (With Zeetha cringing all the way.)
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI think it was just Carson who changed his name, so that he could pretend to be dead and keep the family's secrets. I'm pretty sure Van was introduced as Vanamonde von Mekkhan.
And I just made the connection between Mekkhan and Mechanicsburg.

Trump delenda estThe Clank Singularity, maybe? Since Agatha can apparently create clanks that have the spark, they could create more of themselves and other machines, resulting in humanity being overrun in a tide of brass and steel.
Oh, I *loved* the coffee scene; what a nice set-up for this one. I can hardly wait. :D And I rather adore the earnest helper. Wonder if Boris will get roped in? He was a librarian after all; and knows how to manage an Empire, much less a smaller project like this one.
