So, uh, need a summer job, bestest best friend of mine?
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Did Kat even get a copy of the new contract? I went back to check, and it didn't look like she did. Bogus.
So I'm not sure if Kat asking why the ether exists feels awesome (lore dump and all) or scary.
I'm honestly surprised she's actually getting an answer.
She high enough in ranking that she gets answers, I suppose

Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask.The Court travelers are screwed. Sucks to suck.
Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️Waste life recovery.

Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Wait, what DOES happen to Annie?
She made a deal or something right? That she'd become a psychopomp in exchange for a favor? The current Psychopomp's help?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI'm telling you, it was a setup from the start. The other psychopomps have probably been waiting for this moment.
Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️Do we think Annie is going to become the phycopomp or not? I feel like a lot of this comic has been leading up to her making a decision on that, but with good reasons for either resulting decision.
On the one hand it kind of feels like she was set up, but I'm also really keen to hear robot legends of The Grim Annie, the cyber soul decompiler who recycles your code into the Great Algorithm.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. At least Kat has learned to ask for the fine print.
Merry Christmas, Kat and Annie.

Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️With all the recent in-story and fandom talk about Kat having evil god tendencies, I keep forgetting she is actually one of the most decent people in the comic.

I don't think Kat would choose to become an eldritch machine God. I think the nature of the ether and the worship of the New People might change her though
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI think its more like they created the Mechabird and it would eventually detach from Kat the human person.
I don't think deities entirely detach from the entities that spawn them. I'm pretty sure the wild prehistoric coyote that inspired Coyote is still attached to him somehow or other
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youSee that whole thing is undefined and vague. Coyote is the continuation of that coyote, but if Kat rejects the Mechagod, then would the cult pull her through or would the cult pull away from her? In the soul transition mindscape, Robot is already kinda usurping Kat's position as The Angel.

Well, no reason she can't delegate. Maybe that's why Zeus had Hermes. When half his time is spent keeping Hera from killing his illegitimate children, it seems like it would be a conflict of interest if he were also helping Thanatos.
Zeus: Oh hey, Than. Sorry, I don't see a Heracles on the list anywhere.
Thanatos: What about that large smudge right there between Hector and Hippolyta?
Zeus: That's probably nothing *Not-So-Innocent Whistle*
Ha. Page topper.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!
