Bolt is not his dad and his story shouldn't be a copy and paste of his dads, which is what you want with these powerlevel villains which are the worse and completely ruin the stakes of the fights. Small scale conflicts is how things should start before working their way up precisely because it emphasizes how the world is different from Narutos time. A fact the Kages literally discussed. When it comes time for those threats the next generation can handle it but they should also enjoy the time of peace.

Something the show has been doing very well as it also gives the other kids focus. A problem with Naruto is that it had too large a cast and not enough time of focus, which is not a problem with Bolt because the anime is just as canon as the manga.

Its definitely a benefit. Its all been scaled down to manageable ninja threats.

Like back to the Zabuza Arc right?

Its how ninjas should fight.

Well we are definitely getting a mega threat in prolly several years. That guy from the prologue whoever he is.

I wouldn't mind it being smaller scale fights if A. it was dangerous and B. the main cast weren't armed to the teeth. Seriously, as soon as you give them a guy with Sage Mode small scale fights stop having any stakes at all.

But they are dangerous even if the cast is armed & trained.

Even then I don't think Mitsuki can control his Sage mode.

Mitsuki has yet to use it in a fight, and has preferred normal techniques. Plus against Samehada Chakra gets drained so activating such a mode would be harder.

Yeah, Shizuma had Mitsuki on the ropes a few episodes ago didn't he?

Even imperfect sage mode is extremely dangerous. Jiraya only had imperfect sage mode and he was very dangerous.

Jiraya was a decades old highly trained warrior.

Mistuki on the other hand is a lab experiment only a few years old.

They are worlds apart to be compared.

Maybe, but it's like sticking Goten with Super Saiyan in the OG dragonball arcs. Yeah, he's a chump experience wise, but he's about 4 Next Tier Power Ups ahead of anyone else.

It's nothing like that. Mitsuki's power level isn't so far above even his peers.

Granted, I have to start watching again, but I was under the impression that he was just beyond all of his classmates? Boruto and Sarada included?

He definitely outstrips all of them the only debate is by how much and I say "a hell of a lot". We only know about 5-7 guys who've mastered Sage Mode at all. It's the one ability you basically can't cheat your way into getting.

Not 'Goten in Dragon Ball' levels, no.

He can punch someone with just the invisible aura around him; all his physical abilities are increased significantly; his sensory abilities receive a massive boost; and he gets access to the various Sage Art versions of Jutsu. Only the latter requires significant extra training beyond what it takes to get to Sage Mode at all.

Correct, it requires a bit of prep time but still the enemies that pose a threat to a Sage Mode user - even a noobish one - are the sorts of enemies that would squish Boruto and Sarada easily and vice versa, the appropriate enemies for them to be fighting at this time don't really pose much of a hassle for Mitsuki if he's able to get a little prep time in.

Has he used Sage Mode in the anime yet? I know they have to get to Momoshiki and friends first, but was just wondering.

I'm actually not sure Mitsuki has the conscious ability to wield Sage Mode.

Also the ability to wield senjutsu chakra as an invisible extension of taijutsu is a specific technique in the Frog Kata, as far as we know other Sages cannot do so.

That's right, don't Snake Sages get the inorganic reincarnation thing that Kabuto used instead where he merged with a cave? Or was that just a Sage Art?

I'll assume Sage Art. Kabuto looked like he had it for some time.

So it wouldn't really be much of a boost if he has no idea what it does.

It was a Sage Art. Also, since it happens by infusing natural chakra, it's probably one of those things that only he can do really well due to being the ULTIMATE CHIMERA.

Looked it up on the Naruto wiki, it looks like it's both a sage art *and* it's Snake Sage only. As for Kabuto being the ultimate chimera/ six health bars OP That One Boss that only helped him maintain Sage Mode permanently since he used Jugo's cells to constantly inhale natural energy without having to meditate.

Right, the jutsu uses natural energy directly. It's probably like with Naruto's original Sage Rasenshurikens - the chakra cost is so huge that it's borderline impractical to use while still maintaining Sage Mode.

I just assumed that unless otherwise mentioned, any named Sage Art was exclusive to the animal of the user.

So its not that much of game-breaker really.

If Mistuki can refine it sure but if he can't actually use it then its not worth much.
