I'd go public with the information that Danzo has a bunch of stolen Sharingan, including one that he's using to manipulate people, among other treasonous acts. At that point, Danzo has to cut and run, because any Hyuuga could investigate this, and besides, making the accuser disappear only makes him look more guilty. Danzo then either seeks help from Salamander Hanzo and gets killed by Pain, or he joins Orochimaru, in which case, Sasuke wouldn't do likewise because he doesn't want anything to do with the man who had his clan slaughtered for their eyes.

...wasn't Hanzo dead by that point in time?

Does this Danzo/Orochimaru scenario pre-date the start of the series? Because Hanzo is very, very dead...

Doesn't mean Danzo knows that.

I feel like most of these scenarios would only end with a swift and quiet death for the person going against the villains...

Yeah, you're essentially running a Peggy Sue plot and this isn't how those things are done.

The most likely outcome of the presented scenario is that everyone thinks you're crazy (especially no one has any idea who you are and no record of you exists), you'd probably killed (at best) or captured and tortured (at worst), and the very few people who remember you would wonder what happened to you before immediately forgetting you ever existed unless someone brings you up again.

To give context to the above statement, the daimyo's child attempts to kill himself so that the brain-eating ninja can't use him to demand ransom. Boruto comes in to help just as said brain-eating ninja is about to chow down.

Still not as stupid as Asspulldara using Susanoo with no eyes. Or using Preta Path with no fucking Rinnegan.....

I'm catching up on the Boruto anime and I'm at the part where Naruto Shikamaru and Hinata are doubting Boruto has the byakugan because he hasn't trained for it even though in this same conversation Naruto says there can be special cases like Himawari where one just awakens it out of the blue. All 5 of them are together and Boruto is saying he has the byakugan and the adults are saying nahhhhhhhhhhhhh too unlikely.

Isn't the Byakugan something you don't have to awaken and just either have or don't have?

It's another problem with Kishimoto's lack of consistency or retconning stuff.

I thought Kishimoto was done with Naruto at this point.

He is, both the bort anime+manga are written/drawn by other people.

He oversees it though.

But yeah sounds like Naruto being a bad dad. Incoming daddy issues.

Do remember that Kishimoto started this whole mess by copying Toriyama and Dragon Ball.

This is no different. Like, it's almost literally exactly the same.

In execution, there are a lot of concepts that fell flat especially in the second part.

Truth be told, we never actually heard that Hyuuga could use the Byakugan from birth. While the white irises/white pupils marks them as having latent Byakugans, that's a far cry from being able to utilize its powers and do so at will. Of course, since they're a ninja clan, Hyuuga children probably start training in martial arts as soon as they can walk.

Hinata has had her eyes since she was three years old, so it would be a good indication they do have them from birth. Also Kishimoto himself said that the reason they don't have them is that he forgot to give them the eyes.

We see Hinata was doing her martial arts training as young as three in Neji's flashback don't we?

Makes me wonder how Bolt & Himawari were raised in comparison to normal Hyuga upbringing.

Probably way softer as Bolt's rather spoiled while lacking the skill & technique an heir of his clan should have. .

Yeah, it makes me again wish we saw more focus on the Hyuuga as a clan instead of giving all that attention to the Uchiha.
