I'm sticking with Sasuke asking him to do that and Orochimaru going "WTF is wrong with you just go have sex with your wife you creep', because the idea of Orochimaru being the voice of reason is still fucking hilarious.

This is how I feel about Orochimaru just being a good guy at the end.

Would make a far more interesting story.

I love how Kishi had to resort to creating logical errors in the story to create red herrings.

Kishimoto didn't intentionally insert errors in his manga to misguide readers.

Kishimoto accidentally screwed up sometimes. A lot.

He sure did in Gaiden. I think Kishi thinks his readers are too stupid to noticed his plot holes.

Nah, not a complete fuck up, but Bolt has pretty much turned out to be a failure as a son.

I mean, Naruto's at least trying. Back in his day, parents would go get themselves killed in a stupid, counterproductive gambit just to get out of single parenthood. Naruto's at least trying to balance his job as the de facto and de juro leader of Konoha with being a parent.

Also remember: Japan thinks the Uchiha are cool.

Like, the terrorist who betrayed the village, tried to destroy it, was the cause of countless deaths, and tried to kill Bolt's father God knows how many times!

Far as the manga cares, Sasuke is 'cool', but not the coolest.

We all know Naruto's the dad who looks after the kids while Sasuke goes doing jack shit does missions far away.

I've heard the recent video game handles the manga's plot a bit better. Is there any truth to this?

Sasuke is actually Bolt's mother, duh.

Nah he just use Izanagi to get both girls pregnant with his and Naruto's babies. He found a surviving Uchiha and ripped his eye out to do it. And well he had two for when Naruto wanted a third.

I thought Word of God was that Sasuke actually didn't believe he deserved any redemption, and him leaving to deal with the Otsutsuki thing was partially because of Naruto's orders, and partially because he was just too scared to be with his family.

Pretty much, Sasuke's pretty damaged anyway so its probably for the best that he's only there to screw Sarada up every couple of years.

That mission happens way after Sarada was born. Like shortly before chapter 700 as shown by the Hokage one-shot.

Sasuke shouldn't have started a family if he was too afraid to be with them.

Crazy people don't do rational things.

History has been Uchihawashed, no books describing the Uchiha and Sasuke in particular in a bad light are allowed to be published. They were the coolest guys, and nothing else.

Bort simply just doesn't know that his idol tried to murder his dad once or twice in cold blood.

That's what the new anime filler will be, Itachi Gaiden: Bloody bridges. Twenty five episodes of an increasingly sweaty Itachi trying to explain bloodstains to a different suspicious relative each week. The last episode is Hiruzen looking at the bridge for twenty minutes before saying, "Now he is become Itachi Gaiden, in honour of his Hokage like wisdom this will now be called The Great Uchiha Blood Bridge"

Itachi could say "I murdered him just to see the shape his blood stains make" and they'd all praise him while saying that the guy probably deserved it.

And they would praise him as he is killing them.
