Were we led to believe that this Gaiden would be about Bort? Because it very noticeably wasn't. Hell, how many chapters did he actually appear in?

It's not weird at all because The Last is a shoujo movie based off a shonen action anime.

Ok, so who here thinks that the whole 'surpass the legend' thing of Boruto is going to be more figurative than literal? Like how Kakashi says Naruto surpassed him after creating the Rasenshuriken even Kakashi was still stronger.

Also, I think the Otsusuki duo we see in the trailer are going to be Co-Dragons rather than Big Bad Duumivare.

It might be cool because that means no more ridiculous power-escalation. The opposite might also be cool because that means the new generation has finally surpassed the old (provided we don't see Ashura jump into Bolt right before he surpasses Naruto, which I don't put past Kishi).

Bolt will surpass Naruto by getting a breeding machine wife with relevant better genes.

Minato's dumb plan is pretty much dumb cause Kishimoto could not apparently think of a way to have Minato dying and being forced into a suicidal plan... instead Minato chooses a suicidal plan cause Naruto needs to be an orphan for the sake of the narrative... The sad thing is it be so easy to fix it.

Minato and Kushina are gonna go with her plan... but then Kurama attacks killing Kushina and mortally wounding Minato so he goes with the stupid plan since Naruto can't handle the full fox and he doesn't have time to do a proper seal.

There is no in character" aspect to it there

Then again Minato's character is so wildly different during the 4th war I wonder if Kishi even remembered how he described

Kakashi was stronger than Post Rasenshuriken Naruto? I'd say he was more skilled, but I don't think he was stronger.

I'd put him as still stronger. Less able to cause huge body destroying explosions of wind, but he was still physically stronger, more skilled and had more technique range.

Yeah, even if Naruto has more raw power than Kakashi at that point, Kakashi would still kick his ass most likely.

Also, the new Otsusuki villains appearing as a duo of one bigger and one smaller. Yet another Dragonball reference I guess.

Kakashi would most likely still hand Naruto his ass if they fought at that point, on the basis that Naruto is still kind of terrible as a fighter even at the end of the manga. What he does have is ridiculous amounts of power and an enemy that's an even worse fighter than he is.

Pretty much the only reason Naruto would be able to beat Kakashi post manga is the massive difference in power and speed. Naruto has never been a finesse-based fighter.

And I like to think that Sasuke is still much, much weaker than Naruto in terms of raw force, with the reason they're about equal being that Sasuke doesn't suck at using what he has (Or rather, he sucks less, but he still sucks given that he almost doesn't use the Rinnegan's overpowered abilities).

The 'Huge and Tiny' pair is much, much older than Dragon Ball, but then again, Kishi probably took it from Vegeta and Nappa, since he took so much other stuff from Dragonball (up to and including Naruto's color scheme..).

I know Naruto has always been more of a brute, but he had a lot of power. The Nine Tails, the Rasengan and Shadow Clone spamming,

IIRC he was able to keep up in hand-to-hand with the more experienced fighter, Pain, in his base form. So although he's not got major skill like Lee or finesse like Kakashi. He's still a pretty good fighter.

When you got as much raw power as Naruto, you don't really need skill...although its still good to have.

Pain is best at using the Rinnegan techniques, not hand to hand.

Being better at Taijutsu than a crippled man controlling six bodies at the same time is not very impressive.
