They tend to lose a great deal more mass than they lose speed. In fact, it's rare that they keep enough mass to be dangerous. Madara doesn't have this problem since he probably drops it from below the atmosphere, but I don't know if that's high enough to reach the speeds necessary to go from 'falling rock' to 'OMG IT'S A F*CKING METEOR!'
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI thought that if he could just spam meteorites he WOULD be the best villain in the series... Alas his love for Hashirama overtook his ability to actually think.
Although wouldn't the best way to defeat Madara would be to use the Cars' strategy and send him into space?
If only they had ninshu, Naruto could show Bort his own childhood to stop him being such a little bitch. - IronypusHe would come back by hitching a ride on a meteorite.
If he does, I will drop the series.

If only they had ninshu, Naruto could show Bort his own childhood to stop him being such a little bitch. - IronypusNot exactly. Nagato's Chibaku Tensei dwarfs entire mountains in size, and Madara's are even bigger than his. They're much, much larger than the KT meteor, but due to not falling from orbit, don't do as much damage. If they were to fall from that high however, the chain reactions and the initial impact would wipe out most life on the planet.
And Madara could just create them with Chibaku Tensei, then use Bansho Tenin to pull them down with as much force as he wants. He's just dicking around, really.

"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Cars strategy = best strategy. Something unwanted? Chuck it in space. Supervillains? Trash? You name it.
I should also point out that the meteors disappeared.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyHe would be lame if he jumped on his own meteor?
I think that would actually be pretty cool, like what Mercenary Tao did in Dragonball. guy travels by throwing objects and jumping on them.
Another possible point of discussion: Some guy gives his theories on why the Sharingan cannot copy the Gentle Fist, and why Gentle Fist is impossible without the Byakugan.
I'm looking at this because I'm studying both, trying to figure out the capabilities of each. From what I understand, the Sharingan shouldn't be able to copy the strike angles and body movements of Gentle Fist due to clothing and physical differences. Okay, I'll buy it. Anybody familiar with vectors want to give their opinion?
And another thing - what I was researching was how Byakugan and Sharingan users respond to genjutsu.
Sharingan users like Obito and Danzo are capable of overriding Yamanaka-jutsu and Tsukyomi thanks to their eyes. Neji wasn't able to see through Naruto's shadow clones, but he was able to pick out the real one. Though, that might not be a Byakugan-related skill, that could just be Neji being an observative fighter.
I can't seem to find an example of the Byakugan breaking any sort of genjutsu.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Considering Sasuke was able to copy the Goken, he should be able to copy the Jyuuken just as well.
And Madara riding a meteor as it crashes down into the world would have been the single most epic moment in the entire series. And it would've been ripped straight out of Disgaea, considering it's Overlord Laharl's ultimate move.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariActually the meteorites were still there, we saw them get cleaved in half when Madara used his Perfect Susanoo to cut down that mountain. We also saw that the meteorites were smaller than his Susanoo.
Don't worry, he got a better skill in D2 that warps reality.

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Kizaru riding a cannonball onto an island was pretty sweet.
Nothing Madara does will ever be cool.
Sharingan too OP.

The sad, REAL American dichotomy@Gojira
D2 had the amazingly epic 'Punch Someone So Hard You Create A Black Hole' Big Bang, so it doesn't get a chance to shine.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariOut of all Nippon Ichi's stuff, I like Makai Kingdom, chiefly. It's the only one I've finished the main story for, since my... copy... of Disgaea DS can't find its save file.
Hmm... the spear skill "Starlight" could make a good wind/kenjutsu skill. Sweep your opponent into the air, then slam with a vacuum wave made from a rapidly spinning attack for large knockback.

The sad, REAL American dichotomy
Makai Kingdom was the second Nippon Ichi game I ever played; a little old, but still fun. I couldn't get my hands on Absolute Undying Ranger vs Darkdeath Evilman, so Makai Kingdom was the first thing I found on Amazon.
I hope they remake it for PS3 or PC.
How did we get onto Disgaea in both threads? (I need to play Disgaea 1, the sequel has already been announced)
Since Sasuke could copy Lee's fighting style, I agree he sould be able to copy Neji's. But... that might be an interesting concept for a fan fic.
Sasuke's problem was that while he copied Lee's speed, he didn't copy his stamina. So, with Jyuken, you're pressure pointing people, and you can see exactly where the pressure points. Even if you couldn't see them, you'd still be putting a certain amount of force to close those points, and since people have different bodies, a Gentle Fist user has to account for height, arm length, and what not when they're fighting someone.
If Sasuke saw it once and only once, he'd be copying how Neji does it, against a certain type of opponent. Would he be able to reverse-engineer that to full effect? Alright, he's smart, but if he's only copying certain instances, he can't just figure out the rest can he? He might face someone taller, so in addition to not knowing exactly where their points are, he might miss a spot, or not strike hard enough.
Then there's Neji and Hianta - Neji uses his fingertips, while Hinata uses her palms. How does Sasuke copy the way Hyuugas use all of their Tenketsu, like when Neji does the Heavenly Spin?
Maybe he'd start modifying like he did with Rock Lee's style.
It would seem that if a copying a fighting style doesn't account for your body's lack of training, then copying Lee or Neji would have similar disadvantages.
But maybe I bought a little too much into that vector discussion - he copied one style with almost no issue, so why not the other?
I'll add this to a list of disappointments about the manga: I wish Gentle Fist had been used more. Out of all the characters, I've always liked how Neji and Hinata fight.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Sasuke shouldn't copy either.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyWander, you underestimate Sasuke's bulls***iness.
If only they had ninshu, Naruto could show Bort his own childhood to stop him being such a little bitch. - IronypusSasuke's bullshit cannot be beat. It can even cut through rice paper.
If you can't tell, that second ellipsis is bolded. I'm ellipsesing so angrily right now.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyWait... so Sasuke's bullshit is on par with the Zabuza Sword? 0_o
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Makai Kingdom is one of my favorite Nippon Ichi games, mostly because of how incredibly hammy Zetta is. It's a universe of hams, in which Zetta reigns supreme, even as a book!
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariYou could've retorted with "Ellipses are for chumps!" Man, it was a cosmos of ham. Zetta and Valvoga were my favorite sources of comedy.
Huh. I didn't realize on first watch (not playthrough, as ain't nobody got time for that) that Ophelia makes a fist with her hair.

Be easy on Kishi on the meteor thing. The dude is real "special" he dun know no better.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenCrispin Freeman gets a lot of good roles. But Zetta was the first role I ever heard him in. Imagine my surprise when I found out "Zetta" is also the voice of Kyon, Alucard, Shizuo, and even Itachi?
Ah, good times.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I know, right? This is also the explanation for Itachi's strength. Zetta's so badass that it bleed over into this universe! Itachi was just lucky enough that he was the vessel chosen for it.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy
Meteors don't so much "fall from orbit" as they slam into Earth's atmosphere. How much speed they loose depends on a lot, but they're generally travelling much faster than they would be if they were just dropped.
