• Angst? What Angst?: When Earl comes home with just Robbie's shoes and tries to tell Fran what happened, she just calmly asks "did Robbie get eaten?", apparently taking it well. Though she also knows that it would take a few days for Robbie to digest and has Earl go to the swamp to save him.
• Harsher in Hindsight: When Earl and Robbie are in the monster's stomach and have no hope of getting out (but after they have made up), Earl remarks that it's only a shame Robbie won't be able to have any kids to drive him crazy. In a few years, after the events of the last episode, he won't be able to have kids.
