- Awesome Music: Stranger Fruit. How many other bands combine African-American field chants and black metal? The combination sounds preposterous on paper, but it works. That's testament to Gagneux's skill as a vocalist and composer, plus the band's instrumental skill. Their other works (especially Devil is Fine) are quite good, too.
- Nightmare Fuel: At their darkest, they can certainly qualify, between Manuel's insane Careful with That Axe, the oppressive atmosphere their music acquires at its darkest moments, and the at times incredibly dark lyrics. "Stranger Fruit" (the title track) is a good example of this.
- Tear Jerker: Some of their songs qualify as these too, with "Built on Ashes" standing out in particular for this.
