YMMV / YuuYuu Jiteki no Yuukarin

Go To

  • Surprise Difficulty: At a glance, this game's cutesy art-style plus platforming brings to mind the likes of Kirby, with the first few levels being both easy to clear and earn One Ups. So, with all that in mind, YuuYuu might be interpreted as a casual and accessible experience. Those who play further on into the game, however, will find the game to be a brutal Platform Hell that tests your capabilities of Yuuka's moveset, and subsequently drain all your lives if you fail to adapt accordingly.
  • That One Attack: Mokou's fireball attack that requires Yuuka to hit it back at her. On the surface, it seems simple enough, with the projectile attack being blatantly telegraphed to start and slow enough to react accordingly. The problem lies in that is specifically requires the grounded parasol attack to be reflected, with said attack having half-a-second delay from input to action, making the timing required hard to adjust to. Add in the fact that Yuuka's gotta hit the fireball multiple times in succession with the delayed timing in mind, and you got a frustrating attack that must be dealt with to progress. Youmu having all the same attacking methods of the prior bosses naturally includes the projectile attack as well, which goes on for a lot longer and requires less room for error for each rebound.
