• Harsher in Hindsight: In chapter 1 of fruit of knowledge, Aether ate a Withering and suggest that he could went around and eat all of them within moderation. A few months later, Nahida’s 2nd Story Quest reveals that the Withering are once elemental lifeforms born from Apep, meaning that Aether have been unknowingly eating living beings.

• Hilarious in Hindsight: The premise of the fanfic is about Aether being a Benevolent Abomination that could end a world by eating it. Around a year later, Fontaine introduces Canotila of the Merusea Village, who saw the Traveler as “a monster that looks like it could swallow the whole world in a single bite”. Auspice even made a comic about this exchange.
