• Harsher in Hindsight: One DMS por la noche sketch's punchline was about forcing Daniela Romo to cut her hair, referencing how Romo's particularly long mane was associated with her. Years later, Romo did eventually cut her hair... because she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
• Moment of Awesome: The opening sequence. It starts with Eugenio Derbez as an orchestra director, revealing the SMPTE-esque color bars as curtains to show the "network's" satellite starting its transmission before zooming into the Earth and revealing the XHDRBZ building. Furthermore, the hangar next to the building deploys trucks and a whole fleet of helicopters and fighter jets modded with cameras flying all around Mexico before showcasing the "programs" to the theme tune until the curtains close before the show's main stars. The concept of a show emulating a TV channel was new at time, but starting transmissions with an epic opening was completely unexpected.
