- Audience Awareness Advantage: Many readers found Cauldron's plan to take down Tāwhirimātea moronic and criticized Alexandria for continuing the attack despite Sajuuk making it clear that Tāwhirimātea isn't an Endbringer. Other commentators point out that Cauldron had no way of knowing that Tāwhirimātea had an Adaptive Ability specializing in advanced technology nor would they have any reason to believe what Sajuuk says.
- Continuity Lockout: The story can be confusing for those unfamiliar with Warframe, especially with all the Continuity Nods used by the author.
- I Knew It!: Several commenters on SpaceBattles already figured out that Tāwhirimātea was a Sentient long before The Reveal.
- Jerkass Woobie: Sajuuk. He and his sister Tāwhirimātea are amongst the last of the Sentient race. The rest of their family is dead, everything he fought for in the Old War was All for Nothing, he's become so worn out by the fighting that he's become reclusive and bitter. All while the Tenno continue to pick off his fellow Sentients one by one.
- Slow-Paced Beginning: Some readers complain that the story focuses too much on Worldbuilding and not enough on moving the plot along. For example, it takes over 100,000 words and almost three arcs until Taylor decides to start testing out her powers.
