• Cult Classic: The movie made less than ten million dollars in theaters and is far from the best known Holmes adaptation of the twentieth century. However, the uniqueness of its premise, nuanced main performances, and the fantastic comedy cause it to have some very loyal fans who hold it high above many other Holmes reimaginings.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Holmes/Kincaird is a washed-up actor playing an iconic fictional character. Flashforward to 2013, and Watson's no different (and another Sherlock Holmes is involved, while we're there).
