- Harsher in Hindsight: The film depicts an "airborne toxic event" that takes place in Ohio. Just a few months after the film's release, a train accident in the town of East Palestine, Ohio
resulted in emergency crews burning tons of industrial chemicals in an attempt to prevent a more devastating explosion. The town and some surrounding areas had to be evacuated because of the toxic pollutants from the fire, and health experts are concerned about the long-term effects the chemicals may have on inhabitants and the environment. Then, it was revealed that some residents of East Palestine served as extras in the film.
