• Alternative Character Interpretation: Between the way that there is no real indication that Yeonhwa's relationship with Yeonyoung at the start of the series is anything other than what it appears to be - namely, healthy, wholesome, and sincere - and just how far Dahye has to push Yeonhwa before she snaps back to her old self... Does Yeonhwa return to her "true nature" or did she regress into a more resilient mental state in response to the trauma of the kidnapping and utter destruction of the life she built for herself post-juvie?
• Diagnosed by the Audience: This series adds more symptoms to Dahye's condition (see the rest here). It more clearly implies that she is suffering from PTSD. She still has nightmares so often that she needs to take sleeping pills to get any rest. Despite her bravado, Yeonhwa can clearly see that she makes Dahye nervous to be around her even when Dahye has all the control. It's to the point of having panic attacks.
