• Archive Panic: There are hundreds of thousands of videos on the channel. Luckily, they're all pretty similar.
• Epileptic Trees: Initially the origin of the channel was unknown, leading people to speculate it may be part of an Alternate Reality Game, among other theories. They often read deeply into whatever evidence they could find. It turned out that the channel was just a test for the YouTube compression algorithm.
• Fun for Some: It wasn't intended to be entertaining at all, but some people got enjoyment out of watching the videos, finding patterns, and speculating on the history of the channel.
