  • Harsher in Hindsight: The plan of Trikumia Hanawa in using all local radio areas throughout Hokkaido for a supposed attack involving sonic weapons like LRADS gets more sinister when American/Canadian diplomats in Havana reported having health problems caused by apparently sonic weapons as a working theory starting from 2016. It's also been reported in the late 2010s that some Western diplomatic compounds in Moscow like the US Embassy were also targeted with the same weapons.
  • The Scrappy: Nakahara is not a very popular character. The main point of contention with fans is that he takes up a lot of screentime in a Love Triangle storyline between him, Minare and Makie, despite being so bland and idiotic that it's hard to see what anyone would see in him.
  • Strawman Has a Point: Minare's boss Takarada refusing to give her raises and almost firing her is meant to show that he's a Jerkass; the other characters comment that the only reason he's doing it is because he's an asshole who hates women. That said, during the first chapter/episode she's shown at work, it's revealed she's late multiple times a month, she runs out while on the clock and takes his car (which becomes hers' in the anime) without telling him, and she has a Freak Out at customers (admittedly people she knew, but that doesn't make it any better). Based on her behavior, it's entirely reasonable why Takarada wouldn't want to keep such an unprofessional and irresponsible employee around—which is all but confirmed when Makie, a part-timer who's working for free, ends up doing Minare's job better than her after only her first month there.
