YMMV / Walking Tall (2004)

• Designated Hero: Notwithstanding the fact that Jay and co had it coming, Chris escapes justice for the crimes he committed simply because they were arguably ethically justified (without the justification actually amounting to anything that would be mitigation or defence), uses shock tactics to electioneer during his trial, uses law enforcement resources to harass Jay, and generally behaves as Sheriff in a way that would normally be the stuff of Small-Town Tyrant jokes. The movie doesn't draw any attention to this, however - as far as the writers are concerned, Chris is unironically heroic.
