  • Nightmare Fuel: There is nothing more chilling than the final scene in the third act ... and it grows even more so in the fourth act's first scene. First, Sen. Hughes was given a false tip (by the episode's villain, Lyle Eckert) as to where his 15-year-old daughter, Lindsey, has been buried alive (with only a short supply of oxygen left) for more than 24 hours. When he and the authorities open the casket to find it empty, he has a huge breakdown of tears as the act fades to a commercial. When we're back, we go to where Lindsey is actually buried ... it is now pre-dawn early morning, and – still awake – is beginning to gasp for air. Even worse, though: She is likely contemplating her own death and trying to make peace with herself, fearful that no one will save her.
    • Adding to the chill: The actor that played Eckert is Robert Englund, who played Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare On Elm Street franchise. And Krueger sometimes did bury his victims alive, leaving them to die a slow, torturous death ... although Lindsey's experience was likely tame compared to what was seen in some of the Nightmare films.
