* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: One of the biggest criticisms was that three of the segments (''Vicious Circles'', ''Dante The Great'' and ''Gorgeous Vortex'') broke the FoundFootage aesthetic, it doesn't help that ''Gorgeous Vortex'' was actually ''[[MissingEpisode taken out]]'' because of this.
* TooDumbToLive: Alphonso from ''Parallel Monsters'' is confused and disturbed at seeing unusual things like a bloody sack of organs as the centerpiece of a nascent orgy, which all the locals think is normal, but doesn't even think about fleeing until he sees people put on demonic GameFace (let alone Marta being left alone with one of those monsters).
** In ''Vicious Circles'', one of the kids on the bridge ''climbs over the barrier'' to get a good shot of the van. He ends up slipping and falling.

** After three films of pretty much [[KillEmAll everybody dying]], it's downright [[CatharsisFactor cathartic]] to see those skaters in ''Bonestorm'' kick the everlasting fuck out of an ApocalypseCult and only lose ''one'' of their friends...oh, [[MyFriendsAndZoidberg and their cameraman]].

* CrowningMomentOfFunny: In ''Bonestorm'', a police helicopter eventually responds to the ensuing chaos... the pilot decides [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere it's not worth getting involved]].

* MarySue: The protagonists of ''Bonestorm'' kick zombie ass, are MadeOfIron while their enemies are MadeOfPlasticine, and easily CurbStompBattle them primarily with [[ImprobableWeaponUser oddly unbreakable skateboards]]. In a series where protagonists tend to die or turn out to be villains themselves, it's surprising that they escape with little more than moral pangs about how quickly two of their acquaintances died.

* BrokenBase: The ''Dante the Great'' segment. Many people liked it for its originality, having a less horrific tone than other segments in the series, culminating in a badass magic fight against the police that completely abandoned the FoundFootage format in favour of traditional film making techniques. Many others hated it ''precisely'' because it changed the formula so much, arguing that it had no place in a horror anthology and that if you're not taking advantage of the FoundFootage format in an series known specifically for that, you may as well just make a normal movie.

* NightmareFuel: ''Vicious Circles''. Whatever doesn't fall under {{Narm}} falls straight into this.
** At one point, a group of cyclists is chasing the van alongside Kevin, one of them grabs onto the back of the van, falls off his bike, and gets dragged down the street at high speed, struggling and screaming, eventually [[AgonyOfTheFeet shredding his feet to the bone]].
** Another group of kids are trying to film the van from a bridge, as the van drives past, one of them slips and falls off the bridge. You get to see this from [[POVCam their]] [[CameraAbuse perspective]].
** At the end, when Kevin finally finds the van, it's surrounded by body parts, and a pair of severed hands are taped to the wheel.
** The ending of ''Bonestorm''. [[spoiler: The surviving skaters flee for the border, all the cultists are finally dead, we think that's it... [[ChekovsGun and then we cut back to the cameraman's camera]], just as ''[[EldritchAbomination whatever]]'' the cultists were summoning finally emerges, [[HellIsThatNoise roaring]], from the storm drain, it [[SwallowedWhole swallows the cameraman's body]], and we get a [[SarcasmMode lovely]] shot of its gullet as it [[EatTheCamera eats the camera]]. End tape.]]
