* AmericansHateTingle: American fans are decidedly less fond of Lum's Stormtroopers than Japanese fans. A common sentiment among American viewers is that they come across as far too obnoxious in an unfunny way, and take up too much screen time from Ataru and the rest of the main cast. Given how they're a group of entitled nerds who are so obsessed with making Lum their's that they try to "protect" her from other guys, they're too reminiscent of obnoxious anime incels who lust after fictional characters and treat other fans horribly. Needless to say, their vastly reduced presence in ''All Stars'' is seen as an improvement.
