- Archive Panic: Unwound Archive is here to help with all the problems, otherwise you'd be doomed.
- Awesome Music: They're one of the most respected bands of the 90s for a damn good reason. They pretty much never put out a bad record in their run, and their live shows were legendary both then and now.
- Epic Riff: All over the place, but "Terminus" is the most memorable.
- Hype Backlash: With how praised it is, some will be put off by Leaves Turn Inside You, especially with fans insisting every song off of it has meaning and purpose.
- Nightmare Fuel: "Corpse Pose" is unnerving, "Finger Nails on the Chalkboard" is Madness Mantra incarnate at that too.
- Most, if not all of Leaves is this, but special mention goes to "Radio Gra", which starts with a repetitive loop of a radio station before going through a dark and haunting melody. Justin's humming vocals do not help.
- "Look a Ghost", She never had a chance, Now she's coming back for you...
- Memetic Mutation: unwound 1991-2091
- Spiritual Adaptation: The lyrical imagery in "Look a Ghost" will probably resonate pretty strongly with anybody who's finished House of Leaves."You knew her from before
She hid behind the door
You never noticed that
The hallways turned to black
The stairway is a chance
To fall and break your hands
So never turn around
She might just push you down" - Tear Jerker: Most of Leaves when it isn't Nightmare Fuel, "Below the Salt" is arguably the most depressing song the band wrote, with it's GY!BE instrumentation and Justin's pained and broken voice.to make anything trueis part of what i do
- The band's end and the group's somber feeling about a reunion never coming to be due to how everyone has changed after the break up.
- Vern Rumsey's death in 2020 at just 47 years old.
