• Alternate Self Shipping: Often happens to Sans, both with his canon self and Sans' from other fan verses.
• Fan Nickname: Two varieties depending on how seriously the fan takes the verse:
  • "Fell" for when its played straight (e.g. fell!Frisk, fell!Flowey, etc.)
  • "Edge" for the more humorous interpretation. Sans is sometimes called "Edge" when he is crossed over with other versions of himself in the popular fan-created Undertale multiverse.
• Jerkass Woobie: Asriel/Flowey pre-character development. He's a jerk and a bully, but his parents' war was never his fault and, like his canon self, in no way did he deserve any of the awful things that happened to him. After his full Heel–Face Turn, he usually becomes just The Woobie.
• The Woobie: Poor, poor Chara. They are usually portrayed as a sweet, All-Loving Hero who was thrilled to be adopted by the Dreemurrs and never resented humans or monsters in the slightest. Even in the darker, bloodier Underground they made the best of the situation. Putting up with Asriel's bullying and Toriel and Asgore's overly harsh parenting while maintaining a hopeful attitude...until Asgore poisoned them to take their soul and absorb their power so he could destroy humanity. Meaning the sweet kid who just wanted a family, died a painful death and was almost used to commit genocide against their own people. Ouch.
