• Alternate Character Interpretation: While Nexus appearing in Junis Blue form to save Ribut from Ultroid Zero is generally seen as his apology for forcing Ribut into an Enemy Mine situation, the fact that he powers up into his Noa form solely to deal the killing blow has led to speculation that, since Ultroid Zero shares many similarities with Dark Zagi, the artificial Ultra's existence itself deeply offends Noa, prompting him to go overkill on it.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Aside from an appearance in the prologue Ultraman 80 does not have any further appearances in the special even though he is Yullian's Childhood Friend and a member of the Ultra Brothers.
• Unexpected Character:
  • Ultraman Nexus was certainly a surprise, as none of the previews had featured him.
  • While they make cameos on a monitor in the first episode, few expected Ultroid Zero and the Ultra-Ancient Giants to appear in person. Especially the latter considering the assumption that this series happened after Ribut's appearance in Trigger.
