  • Bizarro Episode: In the Ultimate continuity as a whole, this book's position is... odd. It's not very similar to the other books in terms of tone or style, and even conceptually, it feels like a random book that was just kind of thrown in there (the main hero isn't a reimagining of any existing Marvel character, but an original character who's mostly based on Batman). Add in the fact that no other book in the line referenced it, not even to dismiss it, and it comes off as a complete anomaly.
  • Fanon Discontinuity: Due to being a rather odd parody/carbon copy of Batman, it's often overlooked (in part for reasons mentioned below), and never really brought up in discussions about Ultimate Marvel, and it's considered a Bizarro Episode by those who do. Considering none of the other Ultimate Marvel titles reference itnote  it may very well have been put in Canon Discontinuity.
  • So Okay, It's Average: The general consensus seems to be that this series, while not as bad as Marville, was nothing to write home about, especially when compared to Peter David's Captain Marvel reboot.
